The story certainly does seem to have fallen apart rather quickly. This should be a lesson to those who rush to judgment...but it won't be.

People really should take 24 hours with these things before rushing to judgement. AS @Idgit likes to point out this happens every time, some allegation is made and people rush to judgment and are made to look quite foolish.
