40 Touches today and Zeke was an amazing warrior throughout. We couldn't afford to hold back today as it was a key game. But coaches will need to start to think about his readiness for the playoffs. He took a ton of hits today.

Dallas will need to use him more sparingly in the next few weeks.

He seems to self-moderate. And I don't see how its realistic to moderate his touches given there's 1 backup at his position on the team.

He can rest in the office season. We need a quality backup to split a little time with him next year.

Zeke seems to work at his own pace so if he comes out I believe it is cause he called for a breather most of the time.

I liked what I saw from Rod Smith today (he ran inspired for the few touches he had)...I am glad they're leaning heavy on Zeke and I still feel he needs to touch the ball 25-30 times for us to be consistently successful...but I agree that the kid needs to be spelled a bit more than he has been the past few games, for longevity's sake.

I wish someone would moderate the fake fans OP's thread starting.

Id love a little change up back like the Bears have in the Cohen kid.
Tavon could give us a bit of it receiving, take some load off Zeke
Rod smith looked better today than the bit spots in last few weeks, needs to get some snaps strung together, seemed to get better than one snap here there

He has to learn to take less shots. The one he got the penalty on was silly. He should have just gone out of bounds. Those kinds of hits will shorten you career quick. He needs to sit down with Emmitt who knew how to avoid taking big shots

I liked Smith a lot more last year, when he was averaging about 10 yards per target and 4 yards per carry.

This year there's been a few times he's productively spelled Zeke, such as today. But overall he's been a disappointment for me.

Cowboys have a few positions I'd like to see them throw a midround pick at, and this is one of them. I understand they have lots of comps this year so that's good for my drafting strategy... but I wouldn't be surprised by a bundle and jump to early 2nd or late 1st.

He’ll be ok. This is what we need him to do right now. I’m all for giving him a heavy load to carry the rest of the way. You can’t argue with the results,5 games now for 5 wins.
