Yep. Showing up for the playoff games is the issue. I no longer care what the regular season record is. Just show up when it's playoff time.

Anything is possible, and it's extremely hard to predict this early, but I would say it's pretty hard to sustain those kind of seasons every year in the NFL. Especially if we have 3 players tying up most of the cap space. We will lose some players and then do some shopping in the bargain bin.

But that's also the same percentage of the Cowboys going 0-17 or 17-0, or anything in between.

The more INTERESTING thing is can the Cowboys win the NFC East in back-to-back years?
Something that hasn't happened in the NFC East in 20 years with the Eagles who won the East from 2001-2004.
And considering the Eagles started 10-1, had the best record in the NFL, and STILL didn't win the East this year ... man, you gotta wonder.

Every year it is the same song from fans and yet since McCarthy has been here, we have managed a winning record and three in a row of 12-5 which no Cowboy coach has done. I'll just wait and see how FA goes, resigning and extensions go, and how the draft goes, then training camp and see what happens. Seem to remember before the season started that GB and Rams and Texans didn't stand a chance of making the playoffs and in fact not many believe Dallas would. Hmmm, guess all those fans and experts were wrong!

Although i agree with you that they won't go 12-5....due to defense taking a step back, and the offense hamstrung with MM lame duck and the guy who throws lame ducks...it could go as well as 10-7....but still one and done. Team still not good enough to advance against playoff type teams, and choke on all sides of the ball including coaching.

it was not a blown call they would have covered the OL that was announced, can we stop this foolishness... they covered the guy ruled eligible by the refs..they would've done the same had it been the other guy.

Dallas gets to play the weakest divisions in football three times this year. The NFC East, the NFC South and then the NFC East again.

Not sure if they will make it to 12-5 but the schedule isn't going to be that bad. I doubt it ends up anywhere near the most difficult in the NFL.
