Valid point, and that's why I'd want him back as DC. Ideally you want some sort of continuity, especially when considering that this young, talented defense would be looking at their third scheme in three years. I just don't see a guy that's ready to lead this franchise into whatever the next era will be. He's 68, with a much younger girlfriend, and he's already on the fence about returning as a coordinator, much less as the leader of the whole operation. Tend to think bringing in a fresh new approach would be more beneficial in the long run. Gives the players a new vision to work towards and accomplish, rather than going year to year wondering what happens next.
Yea .....he sounded like a guy that was cooked at the final presser. But then again, trying to keep up with that young blonde isn't helping at all :lmao2:

Haha ya, exactly! Why take on the extra workload when you don't have to, and have something worth going home to? Maybe he cares about his legacy, but he's never given me the impression that he's that type. Going to be really interesting seeing how this plays out.

He said last week he has no interest in another head coaching job. Happy in Philly.......

Money talks . Not that I want a DC for HC but Zimmer as HC is far removed from reality to compete in 2025 . I want a young OC to take over and help this 60 million $ QB IMPROVE . I think it’s much easier to find a DC

Wes Phillips young Minn OC would be an ironic interview given how his dads tenure finished here .

Ben Johnson. Lions
Todd Monken. Ravens
Mike LaFleur Rams

Honestly ...I'm guessing Kellen may bring Doug Nussmeier back as his OC. He's the currently the Eagles QB coach

Zim and s done. He doesn’t want to coach.
Maybe, but if Jerry gave him a 1 or 2 year contract and said, "Hey, I'll be loooking for your replacement but in the meantime you can be the head coach the Cowboys at least for one year to end your career", I doubt Zimmer would turn that down without seriously considering it.

No I think it will be Kellen as head coach offensive, coordinator with Zim as DC and enforcer.
Might work.
