Valid point, and that's why I'd want him back as DC. Ideally you want some sort of continuity, especially when considering that this young, talented defense would be looking at their third scheme in three years. I just don't see a guy that's ready to lead this franchise into whatever the next era will be. He's 68, with a much younger girlfriend, and he's already on the fence about returning as a coordinator, much less as the leader of the whole operation. Tend to think bringing in a fresh new approach would be more beneficial in the long run. Gives the players a new vision to work towards and accomplish, rather than going year to year wondering what happens next.
