This needs to be a thread of it's own.
About Mazi.
And most likely many did not read all of the article. And seen the great throw by Trey Lance to Tolbert.
Right on Jazz, Mazi showed up against the run.
That's what he was drafted to do, and if he's showing up, great! That's what we need. It's not about who's right and who's wrong, it's about the end result and whether we have a run stopper or not. And DQ was not the guy to do it. I'm going with Zimmer till he proves me wrong.

Owning was also on locked on cowboys:

* Note - Owning mentions Dennis Daxon in his article & locked on but Broaddus was talking about Justin Rogers not Denzel Daxon.

Hey speed, great post. Great info on Mazi, as well as our Linebackers improvements!
Best news I've heard about our Linebackers :thumbup:

TCU tape seemed to pretty much sum it up….
Picking the worst tape you can find and handwaving at it is fun.

In the meantime, I see Mazi keeping both feet down on double teams, working to punch inside and keep his hand placement there, and even a slap and swim move to free himself of a block in this recent practice.

These are all things that we have seen him be asked to work on and he is working to improve himself. I am pleased.

This is why we can't trust the words of beat writers/posters (the thread that Mazi was not looking good ). As many have said, it's hard for fans to truly evaluate DT impact via practice.

Mazi getting coached hard is a good thing. Mazi getting called out by Micah is a good thing.

Jimmy used to cuss players out. Players feared Jimmy.

Mazi is getting coached up on techniques that will make him better. He has to go against Zach and Tyler Smith everyday - which is also gonna make him better. How many teams have a guard tandem like us by the way?

Mazi is key to this entire defense. We could have some studs at all 3 levels of the defense if Mazi reaches his potential.

Fingers crossed.

I don’t see him as good as Hankins and we used a first round pick

Mazi going against Tyler Smith and Zach Martin every day will get him right. Not too many teams have a pair of all pro guards.

Me likey
