Al Harris already has the title of assistant HC. He should rightfully take over if old jer decides to drop the hammer on mm.

The offense is un inspiring to everyone. It does nothing. Can't run. Can't pass. O line is garbage.

Same can be said for the defense. Un inspiring. Can't stop the run. Can't stop the pass. D line is garbage. Injuries have crippled them but that can't be an excuse especially when the front office runs by the we like our guys mantra and doesn't add anything meaningful in free agency.

It's just a sad situation. Until someone tells the Jones' to walk away from football operations, nothing will change. As Bill parcels once said, consider yourself sucked.
So Al Harris takes over the offense??? That sounds like BB career ending move.

It's the only way for this team to have some accountability at this point. This team is historically bad, and I think Zimmer gets the axe on Monday. MM will be gone the following bye week at this rate.
Remove the OR for your post!

Why would the team start holding people accountable now? Thats not the cowboys way.

It would make sense to do it once we are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. However, that will be late in the season in our division.

Problem is, the offense is outdated as is the blocking scheme.

Too many injuries. They both get a pass.
Really, how many injuries is the offense dealing with???????? As for the defense, nobody on the IR was going to save the Cowboys from the Lions today.....NOBODY! This a bad football team with too many millionaires................................

The coaches are on one year contracts for a reason. They're not going to be fired.

Jerry likes to let things just sort themselves out so he doesn't have to admit his mistakes.

Jerry has the approach of "we are all in this together and i'm ultimately responsible for everything". Firing a coach that he hired is akin to admitting that the coach was a key cog in failure.........the flip side is that the coach would be the one getting all the credit if the team wins and jerry doesn't want any part of that again. Its easier just to have a lackey at HC so he can remain in the spotlight and get all the glory should it come the teams way. I can already hear it in his head :" I made a tough call to stick with coach mike but it was the right call and we made it........."

i just dont think fat mike is very smart. He doesnt possess the creativity that great offensive minds in 2024 have. Quick thinking, in game changes, clock management....its all stuff he is bad at.

LOL this team is full of soft losers no coaches on earth will help. Having said that our coaches are old and worthless.

Nope. Jerry is all about the buck stopping with him. Thats how you end up with Garret for 10 years.
Yeah but JG had like 10 different coordinators during his time, all hand picked by Jerry to help his puppet. Did no good but was good for press releases.

I'm not sure how I feel about MM as a whole but I absolutely don't blame him for what is happening this year.

If I were in his position, having been set up to fail, I would be hoping they would fire me so I collect my money without having to endure the season.

No coaching change is coming while we are in the playoff hunt.
I don't see how a coaching change is going to help at this point.

We can't add a new offense in mid season.

I don't know what new coach or scheme would fix our lack of DT talent.

The only person who could potentially fix this problem is the one who created it and that is GM Jethro. However, we all know he most likely will not be making any trades. So it is another wasted year.

The coaching is horrible but the players looked like they weren't interested in playing football today.

The coaching is horrible but the players looked like they weren't interested in playing football today. McCaffrey will return in two wks, SF will mercilessly destroy Dallas and maybe that will embarrass the Joneses to do something.
The Niners will run all over us with their 4th string RB. Who are you kidding?
