Hmm... Seems like for the second week in a row his defense has given up fewer points than ours.
Zimmer was a loyal cowboy assistant here for years. He bit his lip and did what was asked of him regardless of whether it was a bad call. The constant attacks on him hit me as traitorous to a loyal Cowboy.
None of his critics ever acknowledge the repeatedly reported fact that Zimmer was forced to coach Parcell's passive D, even though Jerry hired a guy who is doing what Zimmer wanted to do here under Parcells --- attack on defense.
I think the question of why there weren't more sacks during Zimmer's tenure is fairly obvious. He had a very highly rated defense when he ran his aggressive 4-3 scheme and Ellis and Glover did well in spite of little help at the other spots and a poor covering secondary.
Then Parcells came in and dumped our best pass rusher (glover) and changed the defense to the passive pile of turd scheme we ran the last few years.
