BASHING by the sports writers, trying to insinuate that ROMO will choke, or cannot win a meaningful PLAYOFF game! :bang2: What a big TEXAS SIZE joke! ROMO has NEVER choked with a star on his helmet.

OK--the only negative was the fumble "slick ball" snap however, that is not the QB position. He took our team down the field over and over again while being held back by a OLD CONSERVATIVE HARD HEADED SOFT BEHIND head coach that nonone could tell ANYTHING too!

I will take ROMO and his MOXIE over ANY QB in the league--yes, even Brady!
ROMO is FUN to watch on Sundays!

Who agrees! Am I wrong?

Well, heck. I'm just happy you wrote something longer than one sentence.

Holy Snap, from the title i thought you were going to go somewhere else. I was a little worried.

But in that, i kind of agree with you, mainly because i dont know how well Tom Brady can do outside of New England. And Romo has already beaten Manning :)

Jesus H, I think I've seen it all now. I'm so shocked by the length of this post that I don't even know how to answer.

Romo and the Cowboys lost both playoff games by a total of 4pts.
Romo led the Cowboys to potential gamewinning TD's in both games. The Seattle game was going to be a FG actually but Romo almost ran it in for a TD. The Giants game Romo throws what would have been a gamewinning TD.

To use choke on Romo is a joke.
I did see the pressure get to him towards end of Giants game... but... like I said he still put the Cowboys in a position to win.

For me I dont like the "attention hoor" in him.

The regular season can't get here fast enough. CrazyCowboy's going CRAZZZZY! :)

Don't get too hyped over the negative hype. The media has to invent criticism to pump up readers, viewers, etc. Increased readership, viewership, etc., spurs more ad revenue. More ad revenue = $$$.

For the media, it's basically a :money: thang. Don't fret it. ;)

The Mediots have to say these things because it will cause people like us to tune in to see if Romo can "GET HIS PLAYOFF WIN!!!". It's something to write about but they will blow it up to be bigger than what it really is. Unfortunately, this is something they can bring up all year until playoff time and when we win our first playoff game.

So Crazy, all you can do is sit back, kick up your feet and enjoy seeing the victories pile up this year. I hope you are not opposed to drinking a brew or two because although I don't post often, I read everyday and I look forward to raising my bottle of brew with all of you to celebrate this playoff victory and ultimately our first Super Bowl Victory in over a decade.

Go Crazy! Go Cowboys!

I don't know what the problem is with this team slowing down toward the end of the season but one thing I am sure of is the problem isn't Romo.

Since '96 just about everything on this team has changed except for the owner. I'm not pointing fingers at JJ, I think he is the best owner in pro sports. I'm just saying the problem started long before Romo did.

Some things just happen by chance. If you flip a coin, the odds are 50-50 whether it will land on heads or tails. And if you flip it 100 times and it comes up tails every time, the odds remain 50-50 that the next flip will be tails again. But in the long run the odds never fail. That's why the house always wins. They don't build multi-billion dollar casinos to lose money.

And my money says this team will win a SuperBowl. Maybe not this year, my crystal ball isn't that accurate. But before this team finishes its run, the Cowboys will have #6 and maybe more. Romo will get his ring.

:lombardi: +1!

Romo was not the sole reason why Dallas has failed in the playoffs, I wouldn't even really call him a "reason" why they lost... It's mainly because the defense repeatedly failed to shut down the opposing offense. Point in case was the Giants game, after Dallas had put together a beautiful long drive for a touchdown before the end of the half, the stinkin' defense gave up a TD with less than 1 FREAKIN' MINUTE LEFT IN THE 1ST HALF! Another instance was when the horrible tackling by the defense let slow Amani Toomer go the distance in what should have been only a 10 to 15 yard gain...

I agree, CC. Romo hasn't even played two full seasons yet -- he's still very young. Some people forget how long it took even some of the best QBs to win in the playoffs.

Actually, I think most of these writers know this, but they think they have to set up a storyline, and they know bashing the Cowboys QB will appeal to a lot of people.

Exactly, especially when the Cowboys QB has been stellar his two years starting...

I love having Romo and think it is one of the top QB's in the game today but the only way he will silence the critics is to help lead this team to a championship. Peyton Manning went through allot of these same critical remarks as the guy who could not win the big game after all he did not do it at Tenn and was unable to do it in the NFL until a couple of years ago. Let the critics say what they will and hopefully in the end Romo and the Cowboys can silent these people

Romo is the least of our problems. However, wether fair or not he is the QB and he gets most of the blame or praise when we win. It just comes with the territory. Nobody ever says Ware is 0-2 in playoff games.

The topic is moot.

Like he said at the golf tourney, the more of these "Pressure" points he is in the tougher he will be. Lets see now, what has he had that is REAL pressure,
The two play off games, the US Open golf tourney., wait until he has as many as Tiger Woods has had then judge him.
As for the attention hoor, I think there is a reason for the 20- 80 % thing.
Give him time to settle down.

It takes a complete idiot to label a quarterback as a choker after only a year and a half as a starter. Especially a guy who has shown so much so far.

Those that do that, let their ignorance speak for itself.

However, if you start to talk about the Cowboys coaching staff, there is very good reason to consider that Phillips could choke once again when the season is on the line. After all, he has a track record of one and done.

That's the real issue.
