How...where do you keep these stats? You ALWAYS seem to have these seemingly obscure statistics readily at hand.

In his sub-dermal, cranial processor. ;)

It usually doesn't matter what you rush for if your opponent passes the ball better than you do. Tennessee rushed for 240 and lost on the same day. In the 1990s, we beat the Giants once when they rushed for 244. A few years ago, the Bills blew out the Dolphins even though Miami rushed for 270. Last year, the Jets lost to the Raiders despite rushing for 242.

Look at the Miami / Indy game last Monday night as another example.

I guess you either haven't been paying attention much around here lately or you've got several people on your ignore list.

Many including myself have vented our frustrations concerning Romo but I havent seen a overwhelming amount of fans actually call for His head or want him shipped out of Dallas.

fact is Romo does give us the best chance to win....And I'm probably one of Romos biggest critics.

I just wish we had a head coach that would take charge and tell Garrett when to take the ball out of Romo's hands.. I'm a big Romo supporter but he seems to have 2 to 3 awful games a year.. How do we lose a game when we rush for 250 yards.... :bang2:

Being able to Pass >>>>>>> Being able to Run.

I don't know that I have ever said I wanted him gone, even at my madest(like monday after sunday), but I have said he is at this point the 2009 version of Danny White and chokes in the big games, will that stop me from watching my Cowboys, nope, will that stop me from hoping he improves, nope, will it keep me from criticizing him if he continues to do the same stupid things over and over, nope, to me this is just the nature of the beast being a Cowboy's fan, or any team for that matter, unless they have the perfect season every year, which ain't likely......................

Your original post was "no one" and now its become "not an overwhelming amount".

Nice backpedal... :laugh2:

Seriously though, exaggerations that make civil conversations difficult on this site.

Carolina Panthers (0-2) at Dallas Cowboys (1-1)

I've had enough of this get-rid-of-Tony Romo crap. It's ridiculous. This team lost to the Giants for many reasons, only one of which was Romo's three turnovers. It was more because a ridiculous early-season trend for the Cowboys continued. They haven't forced a turnover. They haven't sacked two immobile quarterbacks -- Byron Leftwich and Eli Manning -- in eight quarters. Until that changes, Dallas will be an incomplete team that has to win games by scoring in the thirties every week.

Prediction: Dallas Cowboys 33, Carolina Panthers 24

This a bit of an oversimplication, which is typical of the national media.

Dallas didn't have to score in the 30s to beat Tampa Bay, and without Romo and Felix's mistakes, the Giants probably would not have scored in the 30s either.

No doubt the Cowboys need to get turnovers and sacks, but that doesn't mean our offense has to be a 30-point-per-game juggernaut in order for us to win. Sadly, though, this defense will not win us many games playing like it has, so it can't afford for the offense to put it in a bad position.

We're definitely not seeing that top-10 unit that some of the players claimed they would be ... but there's plenty of season left for the defense to get it turned around. If Phillips can't do that, then he definitely doesn't deserve to be here.

The other day ESPN threw out the stat of how many times it had happened in the last 6 or so years and the number wasn't too high.

I'd say its pretty safe to conclude that rushing for 250 will almost always get you a win, going off of what ESPN said.

Of course, they said nothing about how many times teams had rushed for 250 so the percentage of 250 yard rushing losses could be a lot higher than they would have you believe.
