Give me Diggs, pls. His contract is not that bad and he's a goat. Yes Bland is a stud too but I think he already peaked.
Yeah, I'm taking Bland over that trio, respectfully. I had no idea what Bland could bring, but I have to agree with you, a 2nd possibly but a 3rd for sure.Good question. I dont say it with a ton of confidence, but I would think you could get a 2nd for him, possibly a decent pick in that round too. I try to take emotion out of it and just go off of recent history. The closest comp I can find the last couple years is the L'jarious Sneed trade, and maybe Carlton Davis or Rasul Douglas deals. All of those got 3rd round picks plus another late pick. I would assume Bland still having a year left on his rookie deal would up his value a little bit from those guys though???
I'd probably take Bland over any of those guys, but he was hurt a good chunk of 2024 and wasnt the elite level guy he was in 2023.
I can name someone else coming off some injuries too, never mind!!!![]()
Yeah, I would want to see what bland does in 2025 before making any decisionsGood question. Possibly true but once again, how are they going to be once they get the moneyBland is one of the most humble, down-to-earth, likable guys on the entire team. Absolutely awesome dude. I don't have any questions about him quitting his job after he wins the lottery.
And on the thread question, I've always been a Bland guy. I never would have re-signed Diggs in the first place.
just stats as someone else engages in on this team!!!! I agree what else can he do besides INT's, can he get stops, can he tackle, etc etcEasy choice for me - Bland stays Diggs goes. Per 2024 PPF:
Diggs - 56.6 overall
Bland - 70.1 overall
Diggs - 60.3 Coverage grade
Bland - 71.4 Coverage grade
I don't put a lot of weight into INT's as those can be as much a matter of luck than anything. But if one must talk about INT's, I think Bland has shown a far better upside as Diggs sells out and gets burned. Bland is more disciplined.
Diggs and his "fetus" tackling style has to go. I thought this kid was going to be the real deal, but he's not.
One thing about Bland’s awesome 2023, was that he was getting absolutely torched when he wasn’t intercepting passes.Easy choice for me - Bland stays Diggs goes. Per 2024 PPF:

Bland - 70.1 overall

agreed!!Diggs and his "fetus" tackling style has to go. I thought this kid was going to be the real deal, but he's not.
As soon as Diggs is healthy, trade him.Yeah, we get ahead of ourselves sometimes. Let's let Diggs get healthy and then see how it goes. It's possible that both players' performance can fall off in Eberflus's zone-heavy scheme or maybe they will both shine. The sad thing is that we might have to sign a short-term vet because of Diggs' injury since there's the possibility he won't make it back in time for the start of the season. I think he and Overshown will both start the year on PUP.
