Blogging the Boys: Diggs or Bland Cowboys will have to choose

Trade anyone with value. By the time this thing gets rebuilt, their career will be mostly gone. Clean the slate and be about that business.

Oh wait, we don't have a functioning GM motivated to build a championship roster. Nevermind, sign everyone to record contracts!!
We could be well on the way to super bowl contention, instead we have an overpaid QB/WR/CB and an aging/retiring roster.

Jerry is way too dumb to rebuild. Hades, he's too dumb to even know when a rebuild is needed!!!!

There's about 1 person who hates my guts but likes to send sweet nothings to my inbox!!!!! It's all good, but if you're going to do that, don't have people thinking you hate me, then it's something else behind closed doors
You saucy flirt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bland IMO.

Last season Dallas obviously did nothing in FA. However, they design the big contracts to their "core" to be restructured as need be. Last year his base was 11mil and they never touched it.
Rumors they didn't like his approach to rehab.
Going to miss a part of next season more than likely.
This season his base is guaranteed for injury, so it's fully guaranteed at this point. But starting in 2026 he has zero guaranteed money left.
Dallas can save 11.25mil as a March 1st cut next offseason. So, if he doesn't bounce back or annoys the front office with his rehab this time I think they move on.

Bland had a great season 2 years ago. Was injured this past year and while he came back and played well the turnovers weren't there. I think they'll look to re-sign him if he takes a team favorable deal like Diggs in regards to guaranteed money/signing bonus.

The problem is Diggs has no trade value or has poor value. Meanwhile, Bland is still on his rookie deal and a trade we removed from All Pro. It’s smarter to get rid of Bland if you need rid of one.

Neither
Diggs is not worth his contract and Bland wont be
Let them walk
Sign Lewis early
Sign a vet zone CB

Spend FA and draft capital on front 7 and safety

Bland. Hands down. He’s younger and better physically now which matters a ton. Diggs having two knee surgeries in two years makes him a risk not worth what he’s being paid.

Nothing against Travon but you can’t hang on to a player for sentimental reasons if you want to compete for a championship.
Hey Bob, do you think Diggs has any trade value? He's still relatively young and has produced at a high level. Are teams willing to take a chance on him recovering from injury and finding his form again? Is he worth a 4th/5th round pick?

At this point after two knee surgeries in two years I don’t think Diggs has much trade value.

A trade would require the receiving team to accept the remaining years on his contract which would likely scare teams away. Plus if we were shopping him now teams would know we are not wanting to take that risk either.

Sadly I think at this point the best thing to do for the team would be make him a designated June 1 release. It would give him a chance to get on with someone else at a price they would agree to. this season his contract has an out. We would save some cap space. He’s no longer worth a top tier contract IMO.

Btw, I don’t think the Jones FO will do this…but they should.
