Bucky Brooks's top five 2025 DT prospects

Absolutely, Sir! I like Caldwell too. I like watching Oregon's DL, still gonna checkout Burch.

6'2 330 w/ some more quickness would be a good look for Caldwell, and I agree he should be able to keep most of his power.
short massive fireplugs are what you want at NT

No LB worth it.
I agree. Unless you can get Jihaad Campbell their is no LB's worth a Day 1 or 2 pick this year.
Sign a couple bridge LB's in FA this off-season and maybe a depth piece or two this draft.
LB in 2026 looks to be a way better class.

2026 LB's I like... my rankings as of now
1. Anthony Hill Jr., Texas... 1st
2. Drayk Bowen, Notre Dame... 1/2
3. Tony Rojas, Penn State... 2nd
4. Harold Perkins Jr., LSU... 2nd
5. Deontae Lawson, Alabama... 3rd
6. Raylen Wilson, Georgia... 3rd
7. Kyle Efford, Georgia Tech... 3rd
8. Cade Uluave, Cal... 3/4
9. Amare Campbell, UNC... 3/4
10. Whit Weeks, LSU... 4th
11. Kyle Louis, Pitt... 4th
12. Sonny Styles, Ohio State... 4th
13. Xavian Sorey Jr., Arkansas... 5th
14. Jacob Rodriguez, Texas Tech... 5th
15. Bryce Boettcher, Oregon...*might go Pro Baseball... 5th
16. Red Murdock, Buffalo... 6th
17. Aiden Fisher, Indiana... 6th

i don't know man, that actually sounds like exactly what they've made a point of pursuing.
Hmmm… what I seem to remember is low end contracts to players they hoped would outplay the contract.
Not drastically overpaying proven injury prone underachievers and draft bust cast offs! Kinlaw played on a 1yr 7+million contract last season. Despite “underperforming” at every other aspect of the position I’d guess his agent is going to use those 5 sacks to push for 10m a season. I’d bet “Jerry” ain’t even going to sniff in that direction. The bears picked up Billings much cheaper and gave him an extension before the 1st season was over and Indianapolis signed Grover Stewart. That’s the type of player we’d be lucky to get (and won’t)…lunch pale overachievers who out play theit contract.. Not some underachieving draft bust trying to get a contract because someone chased a QB into him!

fair enough, i didn't consider the price tag (although still suppressed from actual difference makers) just that they tend to love reclamation projects, and draft pedigree seems to weigh heavily in the formula whether or not the player has lived up to expectations.

I've been wanting bad *** DTs forever - it makes everyone on defense so much better IMHO...particularly since we always seem light at LB.
