Do you think Philadelphia is becoming America's Team?

I feel like since 2015 they’ve slowly earned that moniker. Don’t take this as me giving them credit. It’s me loathing everything the Cowboys have done since the mid 90s. This is the one thing that would absolutely hurt Jerry’s ego. I said the same thing back in 2023 and now it feels even more real. Let’s embrace them as America’s Team. Maybe it will force Jerry to change this team for the better!!!
Maybe the Chiefs or you could argue the Patriots the last few decades.

Philly is not America's team. But the Cowboys are no longer considered America's team. They are a joke.

Why are people so obsessed with "America's team?" Who gives a ****? Who cares if the Cowboys are, the Eagles, Browns, etc. It's a stupid moniker to brag about.

Are you bored or gaslighting?

Wouldn’t bother me one bit if they were. What has this franchise done in 30 years to deserve that title?

Nothing. Let em have it.

The America's Team moniker was a media concoction that Schramm milked. It was a Cowboys' historical brand that melted away. Not intended for casual use or other team's use. The Eagles, Niners, Chiefs, Pats, etc never had the universal fan appeal of the Cowboys.

Let's be more precise...

America's Team is not an annual reward or an award for the decade. It's a nickname for the Dallas Cowboys... for as long as the Dallas Cowboys remain the most valuable franchise in US sports, which is a function of their ability to drive advertising and merchandise sales... which is a function of their national, and even global, popularity.

That objective measure has been incredibly resilient over time, even weathering stretches of below-500 teams on occasion. How long will this persist? Who knows? No one knows. But it is highly unlikely to drop off a cliff... if it happens, it will be a gradual regression.

..lol.. my shoes are more Americas team then them.

If the Eagles become America's Team, does that mean Jerruh becomes their GM too?

No way. They don’t have the broad appeal or fandom outside their own Philadelphia fan base.

Is any team really “America’s Team?”
I’ve always thought it was presumptuous for the Cowboys to be called that, particularly given their 30-year record of mediocrity and doing less with more.
Now if you are using Super Bowl success as a benchmark to be called “America’s Team” then it might very well the Chiefs, who are playing for a third Lombardi.

No and they never will be. But you have to appreciate the teams out there that are constantly trying to pursue a Championship by retooling. I just read that the Rams are considering trading Stafford. If it was Jerry he would stick with him until he was 5 years past his prime and a bad back like Romo where one hit would knock him out for the season
