I've been in NC since 2001.

What I did notice was during the year the Eagles had their run to the super bowl where they beat the patriots, I never had seen so many people wearing Eagles gear.

Don't get me wrong, it's not like the whole town, but after 16 or 17 years of NEVER seeing any eagles gear, when you see like 30 shirts or hats all of sudden, you do take notice.

What was funny is I gave up seeing if anyone was a relocated Yankee if I saw them wearing a Eagles shirt with the dialect.

Saw a guy at church wearing a Eagles sweatshirt. I knew our minister knew him, and I consider our minister a personal friend. I asked him about the guy in the Eagles sweatshirt as I knew he knew him (small rural area where everyone knows everyone). Minister told me he was the biggest Eagles fan he knew, that he was a fan his whole life.

I don't think there is such a thing as "Americas team" as it was a made up term and it stuck for money reasons. Don't think there is any one true "Amercias team", but Dallas does seem to still get the press. Just surprised I see more Eagles gear in my rural area.

That said, when you stuck with the Panthers, I can see it pretty easy picking up another team LOL

That's really not true. I live in Patriots country and I went to a Lidz or some store like that at Xmas and a lot of the clothing was Pat's, Chiefs and Eagles.

When it comes down to teams other than our natural rivals it does boils down to things like who do we like or not like on the other teams.

I don't have an issue with Reid or Mahomes but I would like to see Taylor Swift go 0-2 these last 4 months.

They are pretty universally hated around the country.

Is their performance over the last decade very good? Yes, but that has not made them well liked.

That Fanbase has grown exponentially the last 20 years. Even here in DC, it was mainly Skins and Cowboys. The Steelers had a much larger presence as well. But they have been a good franchise for the better part of the last 20-25 years and it has attracted this generation. Even in DFW you have born and raised young Dallasites with no connections to Philadelphia rooting for the eagles.
