I Was Wrong About Kellen The Hammer Moore

Didn't the Eagles miss the playoffs the year before. They fired the OC and hired Moore.
Brought in Barkley and won a SB on the arm of Hurts. I would say Moore had a lot to do with the SB win. Every team needs the players but qit's up to the coaches to put them in a position to win.
Barkley ran for over 2,000 yards, I would note Elway lost 3 SBs before he had Davis and his 2,000-yard rushing.
Having Barkley got them to the SB, the Chiefs made the decision to shut down Barkley, and were fairly successful at that, but that let Hurts have all the time in the world to find receivers. Imho without Barkley to draw the heat off Hurts he has a much lesser chance to win the SB.

Moore is neither as good as his resumé states, nor nearly as bad as some of you think he is. Plus HC is a completely different set of responsibilities than OC. Josh McDaniels was a great OC and a terrible HC. Adam Gase set NFL records as a OC and is one of the worst HC’s ever. Nick Sirianni was an average to above average OC and one of the winningest HC’s ever. Mike McCarthy was a perfectly mediocre OC, and now is a HC with a 61% winning percentage and 12 playoff berths in 18 seasons. Same thing with Sean Payton.

It’s a completely different job. Ben Johnson could be a horrible HC and Moore fantastic at it. Saints are a rough situation to fix, but how it goes… who knows.

we hate him, he couldn't make Dak "angel reese" the best qb in the league.

I have been wrong about Kellen Moore. While I disagree with hiring him as a QB coach with zero experience since we were not rebuilding that year, I think it’s obvious “The Hammer” is a great offensive coordinator, especially when he is coaching for a) an elite organization, b) with an elite GM, and c) an owner who is not stepping in front of every camera at every possible opportunity.

Moore deserves his shot at an NFL head coaching job and it will be interesting to see how he does.

I still marvel at the fans that can’t believe he selected any team over Dallas. Why would Moore return to Dallas to be Jerry’s scapegoat assistant TO the head coach (ref: The Office).

I maligned Moore during his tenure under head coach Jones and I was wrong. Consider this my public apology lol.
My grandson could play call the Eagles loaded offense to the Super Bowl. Time will tell but I have never been impressed and he did not do anything for the Chargers.

Since we promoted him waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too early, it wouldn't be surprising a bit if he learns the facets to directing an O that he didn't previously know.

It would take an exceptionally great HC to thrive in this dysfunctional culture.
Hard to really judge how good any coach is in this circus.

I couldn’t agree more. When the owner hired staff for the incoming hc, sometimes before the new scapegoat is even hired, you know you’re not making any noise in the playoffs, ever.
