It's about having a conscience

After listening to Bill Belichick talk on inside the NFL about after being in the parades that he could see how much it meant to the fan base to win the championship in New England and how much it meant to the city and the people in it and it really had an effect on him.
Jerry has no conscience he has no loyalty to his fan base there's no loyalty no sense of obligation to the city of Dallas and all the fans of the Cowboys.
The only thing he is loyal to is making the most out of his investment and doing whatever makes him the most money.

He has no morals no scruples no empathy for the suffering he puts his fan base through on a yearly basis.

I live in the Philadelphia area and yes they can be a horrible god-forsaken group of people but they love their football team and their owner loves the fan base and he knows what it means to them and strives to put the best team on the field at all times.
We've seen him make mistakes Chip Kelly Carson Wentz but the guy picks up starts from scratch and retools and creates winning teams because he doesn't quit on his fan base and sell out for just his own profit.

Jerry on the other hand has no conscience and quit on his fan base long ago to pursue strictly his own material gain at the expense of his fan base and City and it's really that simple He's just never going to do what's necessary to get us over the top.

It's always going to be some half-assed effort that makes him the most money and gives the fan base false hope strings us along and just dangles the carrot in front of our nose.

The man is a carnival Barker with the morals of an alley cat that has ruined America's team and will continue to take advantage of our loyalty to the star and use it to his advantage and his family after him will do the same thing that's where we're at as Cowboys fans

We are at the mercy of a billionaire who treats us like peasants from a medieval time period.

“a horrible god-forsaken people”? That’s a little bit of an over the top generalization, don’t you think? Philadelphia Eagles fans are similar to the fans of 30 of the other NFL teams. They want their favorite team to be successful, badly. Cowboys fans think they deserve their favorite team be successful. If you’re searching for horrible god-forsaken you need look no further than Jerry Jones and low IQ son. You’ve got 60 million reasons a year proof they don’t have a clue what they’re doing.

Yes I did my 14-year-old chocolate lab has a lot of health issues and I have to feed him special prescription food every 4 to 5 hours so I am up through the night every night for the last 2 years.
Sometimes it's difficult to get back to sleep so I'll check the site and post something if I feel like it anything else you need to know they're Rambo just ask

Well my good man I certainly agree with you that Jerry is a smack glass of the first order along with his son.

But I think if you had attended as many games at the old veterans stadium that I have attended Cowboys and Commanders games in particular you may have a different view of the eagles fans it really has to be lived to be appreciated.
Not just the games what happened in the parking lots I'm not even going to get into on this forum.
And don't ever expect the police on horseback to help you if you are being molested by eagles fans and you are wearing a cowboy jersey.

Why Jerry Why? Did you think that the Cowboys belonged just to you? Emotionally the Cowboys are owned by the loyal fanbase who want to win championships. What about us? It is so messed up by the way this man thinks. How does he have billions but can't make trades without getting the short end of the stick? Lots of questions, I apologize.

That's a great post brother when you take possession of an iconic franchise with a devoted following like the Dallas Cowboys.

If You have any kind of conscience some kind of responsibility other than just to yourself goes with that.

Jerry is a selfish egotistical self-centered old man who has no empathy for the plight of the true cowboy fan and their allegiance to the franchise and its history especially.
Don't apologize I've asked the question many times how can a man so successful in other parts of his life be such a train wreck at building a team.
My only conclusion is it's not a priority to him anymore to build a winner the only priority is to have the team financially successful

Just remember Jerry doesn't ever have to get better. He knows you guys will be in here dreaming year after year. Get that gear and season passes, Jerry loves you. "who are you guys looking at in the draft? well forget it, Jerry ain't getting him"

JJ is a poor general manager in the pro football business. But to go off and say has no morals no scruples you lose a lot of credibility. What you really saying is you wanna win at all cost like to Philadelphia Eagles. I agree with you but I’ve read about the man private life, he is a good man simultaneously before general manager. Frugality is at fault it’s even a blindness on the part of Steven. I know my reply will fall, deaf ears.

I just had same thoughts, he speaks like somebody who doesn't want to like "share" something he got. I mean, he doesn't care about fans, but its also weird because he likes being GM but he also doesn't take seriously the season at all, he cares about money but ALSO he said it was not an investment.

I think maybe Jerry is just a very idiotic GM or he is just doesn't want to pay a GM.

No need to apologize. The Dallas Cowboys are managed by an individual not qualified to be an athletic director of a high school, much less manage a professional team sports franchise.

I wish Jerry Jones was simply egotistical in regards to his franchise. I would contend egotists are less stubborn than narcissists. They are more open to change.

Most business owners are egotists in varying degrees. At some point, the best business owners will proactively fire and hire their managers in order to secure an organizational goal.

Narcissists are stagnant to change that reflects upon their decision-making. Such business owners resist changing managers, who meet and carry out their directives, which they see as good enough.

Both examples work in all forms of business and industry. Unfortunately for Cowboys fans, Jones is the later version due to his duel role as owner and general manager. For years decades, he has shown a willingness to fire and hire submanagers in his front office but has never held himself to the same standard. Not for a single day.

Jones is not an egotist. He is a narcissist.

If Jerry had decided to be a rock star he would have been Gene Simmons before Gene Simmons became a "rock star".

I see him as a combination of the two, but close enough. Basically, it's clear that he doesn't care about anything but himself as is shown by him insisting on employing a very bad GM, one who has consistently shown that he does not understand NFL football at a high enough level to be a GM. And then add in that this GM refuses to do the work of a GM, and the likelihood of increased success is just so low that it might as well be nonexistent.

Yup, groping women makes him a fine upstanding citizen.

Sooooo, what do you have that makes you say he's a good man? I mean, he's done a lot to prove you wrong.

Excerpt (link):

"In egocentrism, you’re unable to see someone else’s point of view; but in narcissism, you may see that view but not care about it. Going even one step further, people high in narcissism become annoyed or even enraged when others fail to see things their way. At extremes, narcissism leads people to becoming exploitative, particularly among the subgroup known as entitled narcissists." - Susan Krauss Whitbourne PhD, ABPP, Psychology Today, It’s a Fine Line Between Narcissism and Egocentrism
Like what is stated in her article, Dr. Whitbourne points out there is a dividing line between the two. Both can be compared but there are marked differences, which I do not believe a significant number of people see or even care to see.

Chargers Browns Lions Vikings Bills Panthers Texans / Oilers Titans Falcons off the top of my head ….how pathetic & empty must those fan bases feel never having won one lousy trophy no parade nothing . I’m a deep devoted Cowboy fan but i can’t let Jerry Jones enter my head space to give him that much time .

He’s 82 , Arlington , Tx 12 noon on a bright sunny Sept afternoon and his clock is ticking …

:starspin:

I read about the good he does quietly to support the disenfranchised. Asking no recognition for. That’s a quality man.
Again, this will fall on deaf ears, and I don’t really care. I just wanted to give my two cents worth.
