Sturm/PFF: Osa contract projection

EASY PASS FOR ME!!!, but Jerry will sign him just to say we're doing something big in free agency!!

21 mil a year for Osa? Naw....I like him but he's not 21 mil a year good maybe 5 mil
Yeah, too rich just draft (deep this year at DT) and actually use free agency for the DT position as well.

He is decent but not a game changer.

By the time GM Jethro even gets around to talking to Osa, he will already have 5 offers on the table.
This. Washington or someone else will have him signed before FA even begins. We will hear the Rappaports, Schefty’s etc tweets days before it happens.

As bad as we are at drafting DTs we've got a few who move on and do well. Osa will be the next, i think Collins and Galimore have both been solid.

The only solution is to draft actual stars who merit the contract. Until then I guess you attempt to load up on young talent.

Most DT's take some time to develop. It seems like we either miss drastically or give up on them and they find success elsewhere.

That's a decent comp pick. Hope Osa gets paid like that. Draft is stocked, the Cowboys will be fine if they do the right thing.

Yeah and our give ups are usually because they get larger contract offers and don't seem to be worth the money. Unfortunately you have to pay based on projections for future production, and we struggle with that too often.

I could be wrong but it appears his pressures and QB hits rankings are escalating his value. In other words, he's not getting a lot of sacks but spends a lot of time near the QB. He would have a good market IMO........

There are already defensive lineman with contracts that set the numbers and even higher. On productions last season, Osa was the second rated player on accomplishments. Oh, he is young and productive. Do you want a good today's player or just complaining about stereotypes of past excuses?

Group pressure and team stats are good. Now, how many defensive linemen were injured through the season and defensive ends?
