I'm going to say the same thing I saw every year when it comes to the HOF. They should dedicate one entire draft class to the Cowboys to make up for all the ones who should be in.

Next year JWit better be a first ballot. Then again when it comes to the HOF, I don't trust them any further than I can throw my house.

Brees and Fitz are locked locks that lock

Rivers, I see him on the same level as Romo to be honest. Very good, but not at that HOF level. Threw a lot of picks

Witten has a chance at 1st ballot too.

Gore had the longevity, but even then he's 20th in rushing TDS.
Only 1 All-pro season, #2 team.
Did make the All Decade team in 1910, I mean 2010, and handful of probowls.

Think he will get in at some point due to the bulk rushing stats.

Witten first ballot no question

Dez was never the same after his injury and unfortunately was up against HOF WRs to really stand out

Lee had HOF talent and play but not the longevity

Fitz and Brees should be 1st ballot locks.

Witten for me is a first ballot guy. I know he only has two 1st team AP selection, but he was up against Gronk and Gonzales for most of his career.

Maurkice Pouncey is an interesting case. He missed an entire year due to injury in the exact midpoint of his career. He only has two AP1 selections with his nine PB's. There are only eight centers in the hall, a few put in very late, akin to baseball's veteran picks. Jason Kelce, with six 1st-team AP's, is a lock at that position.

Witten is 2nd in receiving yards among all TEs, and 2nd in receptions. I believe he is first in games played. His receiving yards per game and TDs might be a little lower than some of the other leaders but his stats are better than some other HoF TEs.

He should be a first ballot HoF inductee. Then again, he played for Dallas so he may have to wait.

I think Dez had HoF talent but his reputation and length of his career will keep him out of the HoF. I don't know what happened to Dez but he lost the ability to get open and make plays very quickly.

Sean Lee could have been great but didn't play enough due to injuries.

Of the rest of these guys, Brees, Fitzgerald, Frank Gore, Mike Pouncey, and Geno Atkins will probably get in, not necessarily on the first ballot for all of them.

Fitz and Brees are the only two absolute locks.

its a fairly weak class so Atkins will probably get in.

after that who is there besides Witten that really stands out?

I seriously have a problem with the inflation of the HOF.

Deion once said, and i think he is right: The HOF should be for players that changed the game (because they were so good).

I dont see that in most players going into the HOF in last years.

Looking realistically at Witten, Dez and Lee sorry i dont see one of them deserving to be in the HOF.

Witten was a good TE with a long career. That counts for him. He may have been the top TE in the league during one year of his career. But not more. Did he change the game ? No. How does he compare to real greats like Gonzales? Sorry but he aint no competition.

Dez had 3-4 good years. He dominated with his strength. Never was a great WR tecnique wise or from understanding the game. He had maybe 2 years where you could argue he was one of the top 3 or 4 WRs. Sorry but he should not even be considered for the HOF.

The same as for Dez goes for Lee. He for sure had much more understanding of the game and was a good student of the game. But he always "could have been a great one" if he could have only stayed on the field for a longer duration. Could have been is not enough to me to be considered for the HOF. Good LB with a lot of upside. Great instincts and great understandibg of the game - no question. But what he was able to show on the field to me just doesnt make it.

I dont even wanna start with the other names on the actual list. Alex Smith ? Come on. GT/O.
