I think Moore was kept because he is a up and coming OC with an analytical feel appeal to him

OK.

We don't know what kind of interest he would have drawn but many assumed he would have taken the UW job to get back to his area of the country and start doing his TV ads for that car dealer again.

He has a great opportunity to learn a different offense and make himself even more marketable. The fact that Big Mike is adapting his terminology to fit what Moore was doing says a lot about his confidence in the young coach. Or do you think Booger ordered him to do that?
My hunch is Football Idiot clearly by the links I provided and local media reports I read was influencing Moore to be part of the new staff.

Moore apparently from all the reports I’ve seen FM liked him. At least that’s how he has portrayed it. I’m not disputing FM liked Moores ability.

And “Ordered” is a strong word. I’d say strong influence or preference from Jerry. I think FM realizes there are some concessions that have to be made with Jerry.

 Guess another Jerrah move. Moore should learn from Mike not the other way around. Moore is Garrett 2.0
Could be. Jerry gave up more than he wanted. Retaining Moore provided Jerry some reprieve from failed experiment with Garrett. And provides a potential puppet moving forward if Fat Mikey disappoints.

I agree with you Catch, I don't understand the idea of McCarthy not calling plays. In the beginning it was my impression as well that McCarthy planned on calling plays.
We got rid of Garrett for good reasons, I don't want any traces of him and his mediocrity weaseling it's way back into our offense.

MM said whoever installs the offense during the week needs to be the one who calls the plays. At least that was what he said during the Peter King interview.

I expected he would call the plays, but if I had to guess he kept KM around to ease the transition rather than do a 180° on an offense that was already somewhat successful. Remember MM said this is the first time in a long time he has to learn a playbook and terminology. Hes adjusting his offense to our terminology and trying to simplify what the players need to learn. I think having KM still on staff makes that a lot easier.

My hope is that unlike Garrett MM will actually turn his headset on and have the final say on whatever KM sends through. If things aren't running smoothly I expect MM takes over play calling duties in full, and KM wont be long for this team.

Time for a restocking of coloring books. Something to stimulate his mind.
Bad weather lately can’t get out and play golf much. Football season is over. It’s a down time for me.

March Madness is coming soon. Might go to South Regional in Houston if Bears get in. Spring break trip and before you know warm weather to play golf a few days a week and piddling in the yard.

I think the small Crayola box will suffice. (Sorry Gregg, couldn't resist.)
It’s all good. Everyone needs a laugh. We’ve all known each too long to take all of this too serious between us. We all have our opinions.

My best friend and most beloved confident Cowboy fan for over 55 years don’t see everything the same. One thing we always agree on is our hate of Jerry like most of Dallas.

Fat Mikey is simply a pun from Big Mike.

If we’ve learned anything over the years on these forums is anything Cowboy related is fair game for puns, nicknames and bashing of all sorts.

And we are able to do so without taking personal insults, attacks or calling out of our own.

We certainly didn’t get sensitive with attacks over Jerry, Romo , Garrett , Phillips and Parcells for example. Not sure why McCarthy is the protected one.

It's not simply a pun, it's a childish insult. I doubt anyone thought much of it the 1st couple times, but when your every reference to McCarthy repeats the same insult over and over and over, you're wearing it out diehard. Give it a rest.

I’d consider that a personal insult.

Again. Rules allow us to bash and attack anyone related to the Cowboys without taking personal insults or attacks ourself.

My intent is only to bash McCarthy not other fans who are fat.

"Rules allow us to bash and attack anyone related to the Cowboys without taking personal insults or attacks ourself."

How convenient! That puts it right up your alley doesn't it!
Well a few posts ago you said it was only a "pun". Now you admit you're intentionally bashing the guy.

"My intent is only to bash McCarthy not other fans who are fat"

How thoughtful of you!

I’ll ask you what I’ve asked others. Why is this particular HC protected?

If we’ve learned anything over the years in these forums is that anyone and everyone associated with the Cowboys is fair game for insults and attacks.

Fat Mikey is an elementary negative spin off the more common used Big Mike nickname. And I don’t use in every reference ( note my signature)of McCarthy but I felt fans were worshiping him a little too much as our Savior before any results had come in.

I would call him sir because I am not as agile or as fast as I used to be.

The only time the two words should ever be used together is describing a big fat blunt.

Greg missed the perfect moniker for him, Pot Stirrer. He's been doing that for years and even admitting to doing that with his friends. And it does break up the monotony and Prescott threads. Except for this kind of Prescott thread. This is different because it's...…..mine.
who is greg?
