I hadn't heard the story about Dak having recurring shoulder injuries in college until the last month or so. It came out in reaction to this latest shoulder injury.

Sure, he heals, but you don't heal quite back to 100%. Chronic injuries grind down a player and shorten their careers.

It doesn't really specify what the injury is though? I wonder if he dealt with shoulder soreness from contusions or the ac sprain or the rotator cuff issue. In fact we labeled it as an ac joint, but I read an article about that not really lining up with his symptoms and how it progressed.

Jimmy G played pretty well.

Yes the interception was very poor and he had a great chance to win the game at the end - but it was one throw. He was no way near connecting which makes it look terrible but I've seen the best quarterbacks miss those type throws from time to time. It happens.

In between he played well and arguably outplayed Mahomes for the first three quarters.

Biggest issue I have with him is his lack of mobility. It's like he has concrete in his feet.

All through the referenced comments, Dak refers to dealing with "it" as if it's the same thing all the time. I took it as a recurring shoulder injury. You could read "it" as injuries generally, but reading it that way makes less sense to me. Injuries are not so similar.

It's ambiguous enough that I would ask Dak to confirm he's talking about shoulder injuries, because that's the kind of tiresome fellow I am when people are even slightly ambiguous. I'd still betcha a dollar he meant a particular type of shoulder injury, and not injuries generally.

Strange comparison. This is a week to week league. They scored 44 the week before against the Rams and 47 the next week against the Commanders. It's not far fetched at all that Dak could have won that game for the 49ers.
