Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing the Cowboys making a potential deal for New Orleans' backup QB Taysom Hill to compete for a starting QB position. Of course, they'd most likely not be in favor of parting with him. Sean Payton already intends for him to replace Drew Brees when he retires. Taysom Hill wants to start now, if possible.
Mohamed Sanu has completed more passes than Taysom Hill...

I'm not sure if some of y'all watch the games or just see numbers and go from there. Look at the D against playoff teams compared to the O and get back to me.
I am not a numbers guy. I am a looking at the tv screen guy and seeing, yes, definitely a struggling offense, and a defense that barely helped out a struggling offense with a turnover or 2. Both sides of the ball need help. IMO, the defense needs more. And, they haven't addressed it.

We had three full games without scoring a single touchdown. Plus a few others with only one, and even more without a TD until it didn't matter anymore.

He's about the worst red zone quarterback in the NFL.
I mean you can keep zeroing in on one factor only and ignore everything else. Not gonna convince someone that isn't open to other thoughts.

Brady is not that good anymore. They won due to their defense and special teams last year. Brady was just good, nothing spectacular. I don't think he would put us over any kind of hump.
Its about the "Brain", brady would never even think about getting sacked behind this OL, and Pollard would be an Immediate pro bowler.

And . . . ?
i think there's a reason why teddy B. was the starter and not Hill when Brees went out. If some see Hill as a future star, then teddy B. is a superstar in that case. The guy would essentially be Brandon Weeden starting at age 30. The offense would need to be structured for him ala Baltimore. He's not nearly the same passer as Lamar Jackson was in college.

He must be pretty doggone good if Payton has him targeted as his replacement for a retired Drew Brees, as opposed to Mohamed Sanu.

Does Brady fit McC's offense? How many times have you seen the present QB move out of the pocket? How many times does he have to buy time to extend plays?

Brady, Ryan, Stafford, Brees and Rivers, those are the prototypical pocket QB's. Even McC's QB in GB was a "buy time" QB. Brady wouldn't last a season playing for Dallas.

Prescott is part of the new breed like Mahomes, Jackson, Watson and Wilson, pocket collapsing? Move it.

That's not saying much being the 3 teams they lost to were the only ones on their schedule above .500.

I have no idea -- maybe Taysom was injured at the time. I do know Taysom is his intended replacement for a retired Brees, though.
Yeah the guy is electric. He has a huge injury history in BYU. Don't know if you can trust him to be a full time running qb without a contingency plan.

When the Jones boys say something isn't happening you can be sure the opposite is true?

There’s no way they can think that guy is a quarterback in this league. I know he fills in at times but man...

I'm seeing lately that it's being said he's Brees's intended replacement upon retirement.

Payton must be thinking that he will be ready by then. He should know, if anyone does.

Cowherd said Brady is feeling disrespected because the Pats don’t want to pay him Jimmy G and Kirk Cousins money. I wouldn’t want to pay a 43-year-old QB the kind of money a couple of QBs in their 20s signed for. Brady should have enough sense to know why New England doesn’t want to pay him that kind of money. Cowherd also pointed out that the Pats don’t have anything behind Brady and he mentioned the contending teams the Pats will face that have solid QBs, which is why I don’t think Brady is going anywhere. If he does sign with another team it certainly won’t be with the Cowboys and you can book it!

You guys that keep mentioning Taysom Hill as our starting QB can’t be serious! lol He’s a gadget guy who has a career total of 13 passing attempts, completing less than half of them for no TDs. If he had starting QB potential the Saints would have started him instead of Bridgewater when Drew Brees was injured. Taysom Hill is Tim Tebow part two. There’s no way he could compete with Dak or any solid NFL QB and win the job. Taysom Hill has to be the most ridiculous name that’s come up to replace Dak. Some of you have to be extremely down on our QB situation to bring up a gadget player that has only 13 career passing attempts in three years with no TDs.

I said to potentially compete with Dak. If he didn't compete with him, he'd be relegated to backup status. He'd surely beat out Rush.
