League officials DO NOT label stats....poor team, good team, great team. Only Cowboys fan trying to justify him not getting paid. OP is literally obsessed.....lol
With the OP being a true fan, I am sure that he is obsessed with his team making a mistake that will cost the team for the next decade. Most fans cringe thinking about overpaying a very average QB elite money that will hinder the signing of talent for years to come.

What is this... "team" word you keep using?
What does that mean?

Team as in "Group of rich people, male or female, all dressed in identical uniforms fighting for truth, justice, more money."

I like the way you broke that down.

In 64 games Prescott has failed to throw a passing TD in 17. 26.5% of his starts without a passing TD.

He's won 5 of those games meaning when Prescott fails to pass for a TD the Dallas Cowboys have a (5/17) 29.4% chance of winning. And in the five games that were won, Elliott rushed for 83, 159,150, and 122 (Alfred Morris ran for 61 in the other game).

Wentz has started 56, failed to throw a TD in only 6 games, and won 1.
Goff, 55 games, kept out of the end zone 14 games, and won 2.
Watson started 38, failed to throw a TD in only 6 and won 4.
Cousins, 93 starts, only 8 times has he failed to throw a TD, and won 3 of those.
Carr, 94 games, 16 times failed to throw a TD, 3 wins.

One that boggles the mind is Tom Brady. 285 games, 30 failed to throw a TD, won 22.

Although I was working on all the starting QBs, thought that might be good to toss in here.

What that means to me is if Prescott can't throw for TDs, and challenge the DBs, our chances of winning are less than 1 in 3.
It’s as simple as when we get in the red zone and the windows tighten, Dak has issues. He’s not a very accurate QB. He holds the ball way too long...always has. That’s why he doesn’t throw a lot of interceptions. He waits for the receiver to get separation before he releases the ball. His pocket presence is also poor. He could step up in the pocket a lot more but doesn’t have IT. How many times have we seen him get pressure from one side and roll right into the pressure.

Says who? Because y’all told me Dak sucks, Zeke is fat, Amari sucks on the road and the playbook and Garrett sucks so on what planet or what right does a Cowboy fan have to say they are better than anyone let alone the Pats who make the playoffs every year for the past 2 years?
yes I've said Dak sucks. I'm not in the camp of Zeke is fat and Amari has shown me more than enough that he's not the problem when he's not getting the ball (looking at you Dak and playcalling)

Cowboys offensive talent>>>>>>>>Patriots, Brady comes here he'll make it count.

Yeah because talent equate to success. It explains why the Browns have the best personnel in the league and sucks.

Anyone know the point of this thread? If you don’t sign Dak you aren’t competing in 2020. You can save now but be working with a rookie or outside QB that’s worse coming into a new system.

Lost in all that the OP posted was the fact that only 3 qb’s have a career winning record against teams with winning records.

From SI, “It creates the faulty illusion that if a QB has a losing record against winning teams, he must be a loser, unworthy of a contract, even unworthy of a job.

The illusion: Every single quarterback in the NFL with enough starts to qualify for consideration here, except for Brady, Ben Roethlisberger and Russell Wilson, are saddled with "losing records against winning teams.''

All of them.

Brady is 70-40 against winning teams.

Roethlisberger is 51-39 against winning teams.

Wilson is 26-21 against winning teams.

That's it. Everyone else, in this category, is Dak-esque.“

https://www.si.com/.amp-cowboys/nfl...cowboys-qbs-record-vs-winners-rally-stacks-up

So only 3 guys in the league get big contracts?

The reality is every team must get to the super bowl under its own unique set of circumstances and strategies, no two franchises are the same. We have a QB good enough to win, have drafted well enough recently, and have the cap to sign who we want even with a 37M dollar deal due to the structure. His deal will not hinder us

Anybody you put at QB is going to be in a new system, Dak included. Frankly, aside from a possible talent edge we
re in the same boat as the Giants and Washington, who both have new coaching staffs.

The point of the thread stems from last night when season stats were popping up in many threads raving about Dak's 30 TD on the season. Sounds good but the question is, "If 30 TDs is so great, why didn't we win more?" and "What happened to those 30 TDs?"

There were three games NO we lost 10-12; the Jets, we lost 22-24; and NE, we lost 9-13; where Dak threw 0 TDs. Had he thrown 1 TD in any one of those games, we would not have been playing Philly for the Division. We would have went into the Philly game owning the Division. Good teams win those three games. The defense held two play-off teams to less than 17 each. And the Jets game is a debacle. They were lost opportunities.

cowboys offense>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>whatever player pats had on offense besides brady
What about bilicheck and thief OC. I wouldn't say edleman is peanuts. TheirnOL is very good and so is don't Mitchell. With that said I also gave example on Rodgers...

You way over exaggerate what we had in offense and you are dismissing the Dak factor....

So Dak threw for 30 TD's this season.

9 of those TD's came in the first 3 weeks against awful teams. (All drafting top 5)

Against teams with a record of .500 or better he threw 11 TD's.

The other 19 came against the weak teams on our schedule and 13 of those 19 came in the first 3 weeks and week 17 against Washington when he threw 4 against a team that was done.

Dallas was also 2-7 against teams with a .500 record or better.

Dak had 4 games this year with no TD passes including our loss to the Jets...

He also had 11 int's... 3 of them came against the teams below .500.. The other 8 came against the teams with a .500 record or better.
Funny how you forgot to mention the Cowboys led the league in dropped passes, missed tackles and missed FGs. That's not including drive-killing penalties.

Nah, it's much easier just to put the blame on Dak.

Agenda much?

Guess we should protest all the stat sites that put the win-loss record on the QB.
And refuse to acknowledge the Cy Young since pitchers don't really win all those games by themselves.

Yeah starting my protest sign now. I'll be on the corner tomorrow gather signatures.

Yep here-below Dak's favorite field of dreams....when he is truly a franchise QB!

You should look up Tom Brady’s career stats against good teams. Considering we are complaining about Dak against good teams. Brady plays in the worst division in football. Let’s look at his stat padding numbers against the dolphins jets and bills for the last decade. That’s what. 8 games a year right there?
