He’s had the luxury of running behind one of the best lines in football his entire career.

It’s hard to look good when you have Travis Frederick as a lead blocker in the open field against Marcus Maye and Maye holds Zeke to a 12 yard gain.

If you watch any of the games, you would stop telling this media based lie. The Dallas line has not been good since the 90's. Every year, the media states how good the line is, but watching the games, you see different. Almost every year, some analyst, is putting the team in the Superbowl. Why? Is this based on reputation, how much they make, or plain hype?

Are you seriously trying to claim that we don’t have one of the best offensive lines in football?

My eyes this past season tell me the line was overrated by the press. Weak at left guard, Fred didn’t look full strength and Smith/Martin not completely healthy. Not to mention some of the blocking assignments being taught.

They are one of the best. Maybe not the best last year but still have the potential. Fredbeard wasn’t 100% last year but should be this year. It’s up to Conner to improve or that new kid. I would resign Looney and plug him in. And never quit drafting and using FA.

I was rooting for Colombo but I don’t think he is the guy for line coach. I still blame JG for letting our old coach go to the bengals and hiring his buddy the bengals fired. He changed hand and feet technique and it took the last half of the year to break the line of it. And it happened when Conner was a rookie..

You can be overrated and still be good. Zeke is a perfect example, too. Many think he is the best, which makes him overrated, but he is still very good.

Looking forward to seeing him under a new strict staff. He will be in shape going into the season.

Simply put, D-Law was not D-Law this season. No way he could have been.. the shoulder surgery robbed him of a LOT of his upper body strength. So he was less able to separate from the legalized holding they call pass blocking these days. I think he will be fine in the coming years because he will have a full offseason of strength training instead of a couple months..

i can understand players trying to cash in because owners are making "Bank"..but for us fans the whole contract debate issue and what it leads to is exhausting

Jerry gets excited by his newer players. He overpays and then let's them make the team their home in old age.
Next up, a $38 million a year contract for 3 years and 5 more years of mediocrity until we get a proper QB and groom him.

Dak improved greatly last year....my whole issue with him since he came in league is he does not shift weight from back to front foot with proper hip torgue in throwing motion....he pretty much fixed that issue last year....he is only going to get better....big mistake moving on from Dak

D law doesn’t get paid for ONLY sacking the QB. He is a monster, he has hands like a ufc fighter. And he plugs the gaps and contains the edge. Not to mention he could probably play DT if we ask him to. The narrative that he doesn’t deserve that money is BS he gets PAID anywhere else also.

not sure i would quite go that far?...his sack total decreased to 5....nothing MOnster about that

Sacks are a lousy stat to judge a player by. When judging a pass rusher its best to look at how often and how fast they win their 1 on 1s, how effective they are against the run, and how often they are getting double teamed. Sacks just have too wide a variance to be a valuable statistic whereas those numbers will consistently show how a player is looking over the course of the year.

Sorry to hear about the failed surgery. I would say with your condition there wouldn’t be much of a chance of that shoulder healing right. You need it. How the heck did they expect you not to use it for at least a few months. Mine was really bad also along with my AC. They told me not to leave in a sling but yet don’t use it!!! It was my right arm and I am right handed. Lol. I agree he regressed and am wondering if it’s not the culture or atmosphere around there that lets them back off after they get paid. And him holding off the surgery forcing there hand to pay him was so angering to me. If it was me he would be sitting that year and playing somewhere else the next year. I would have strung it out so if he did have the surgery and went to another team he wouldn’t be able to play for half the season so no team would sign him that season.

glimmer---- oh man shoulder issues including AC is a real pain...it is funny how doctors will just say..dont use it for months at a time....but personally i feel so grateful...i can raise my arm and pretty much use it as normal and very little pain....by the way...what is your prediciton or ballpark figure on cowboys win-loss record in 2020?

I am not a big fan of the term regressed. I just think the whole team played worse.

that is very true the whole team did play a lot worse after first 3 games.......it has to be HC issue....the team was eating their own cheese and got their butts spanked hard

At this point, it is what it is. We signed him and now have to live with him for a few years.

I think it was a pretty big mistake to sign him (any TB for that matter) to such a massive deal but it is what it is at this point.
