But I got a Super Trophy! So nobody cares.
The only Super Bowl trophy you’ll get with Tom Brady in Dallas is one of the Super Bowl trophies he won in New England.
But I got a Super Trophy! So nobody cares.
What player on the team deserves to be the highest paid player in franchise history more than him? What player on the team is more important than him? Is your plan to get rid of a QB every four years after their contract is up, regardless how good they are to avoid having to make them the highest paid player in franchise history? How do you become a championship team by replacing them with a cheaper, lesser option at QB? You’re saying other teams are stupid for paying their QBs. Are the Chiefs going to be stupid for paying Mahomes 40M?
If you were a Chiefs fan would you be screaming to trade him away for a boatload of draft picks so you can replace him with a cheaper, lesser QB? You don’t appear to want to pay any QB a lot of money regardless how good they are. As soon as they’re reaching their ceiling and are in line for a huge contract extension you’re ready to move on to a cheaper option. Seriously you should go into comedy. Nothing you say makes any logical sense but you sure do provide a lot of laughs.

Mahomes can get whatever he wants.. He’s the best QB in football and he won a Super Bowl. He earned it.
Dallas had 1 wildcard win on Dak’s Rookie deal. If Dak was a Super Bowl champion we could do the Joe Flacco dance and I’d be ok with it. Who wants to sign Joe Flacco with no Super Bowl though?
So you expected Dak to win a Super Bowl by his fourth season? He never got an opportunity to sit and learn, he was thrown to the wolves as a rookie. The Cowboys haven’t gotten past the divisional round of the playoffs in 25 years. Were you one of those who was ready to move on from Romo after the 2012 season when he was up for his huge contract extension? There’s a number of great QBs, some who are in the Hall of Fame who didn’t win a Super Bowl by their 4th season. Dak has never had a solid head coach with the Cowboys. You obviously can’t see it but all the arrows are pointing up with him. He’s on the brink of becoming a top-five QB and you’re ready to move on. You’d rather roll the dice on some college QB or a castoff who’s carrying a clipboard.
Mahomes just won a Super Bowl. His only playoff loss came on a day when he put up 31 points, the same amount he put up to win his ring. If Dak had a ring there would be no debate.
Dallas giving up 34 to Green Bay and 30 to the Rams - Dak's playoff losses - were not his fault. But the bottom line is QBs get the credit when they win and the blame when they lose. That's why they make the big bucks.
Most of these guys are going to the Super Bowl and even winning it on their rookie deal.
Most of these guys as in who?
If the Cowboys could trade up for Joe Burrow instead of signing Dak it makes better sense.
Burrows would then be under a rookie contract for five years, with a new and capable head coach in Mike McCarthy, and Kellen Moore leading the offense. The Cowboys would save big money compared to giving a big contract to a still unproven Dak Prescott.
The offensive line is still strong, and Zeke is still powerful.
In the short term and the long, trading up for Burrows is a no-brainer.
And signing Case Keenum would give them solid depth for a championship run by 2021.
It makes good sense every way you look at it.
Not that I don't want to keep Dak, but I’ve never heard anyone call a player a “locker room stud”. LmaoYea, lets trade a borderline elite QB that is a locker room stud whom never gets hurt for an unknown commodity. Prescott is not unproven genius, the coaching staff and outdated schemes have been horrendous. Open your eyes man, Prescott is a top talent getting better each year.
Wilson, Mahomes, Goff, Wentz’s team won it so they can afford that risk. Pretty much all the guys that people say he should be paid like.
You could only come up with three QBs in the last decade that led their teams to the Super Bowl in their first four seasons. All three of them were drafted higher than Dak and all three of them have had better coaching. Would you rather have Goff than Dak? Are you going to tell me the season he had in 2019 was better than Dak’s? Only 22 TD passes with 16 INT’s and a passer rating of 86.5. Was that worth what he got paid? Sure he got the Rams to the Super Bowl in 2018 and played like crap!
Boom! Trade accepted! This is a vacuum and noone else could possibly bid higher, or has the goods to do so!
Your argument against Dak is fine. Speak it and preach it all you want, but don’t dodge the questions people ask about the post you made. You can’t make a post advocating for trading to #1 overall and then just suck behind tired, repeated 50 times a day, opinions about DakIf anything, Dak has proven that he cannot beat good teams. His record on this is pretty clear. He plays great against weaker teams, but struggles when the pressure is on against playoff caliber teams.
So, I guess he is in fact a proven commodity.
We know what we don't have with Dak; we don't have a quarterback who will fight and claw to make the Cowboys a better team. He will go along for the ride vs teams under .500 and play great.
But he's proven that he is not the guy.
how exactly do you plan to get #1 overall? I don’t think you have the slightest idea.

You’re changing the discussion but whatever.
Goff is not that good. He was overpaid and not worth it.
I’m not validating our stupid decision because the Rams made a stupid decision.
As far as I’m concerned the Rams are laying the blueprint for what not to do but we are following right in their footsteps.
I'm not trying to confuse you......I think you got confused on your own......
I am the one who made this statement........
"Based on this history it seems to be the smarter gamble to get a guy later in the 1st round or later than it does to trade up for a quarterback."
I said that and you replied with "You're wrong"......
You can't create your own defense in a argument. My argument was it makes more sense to trade down and take a quarterback later in the draft than it does to trade up for a quarterback like that's being discussed in this thread and like the Rams and Eagles did for their guys.
