May be Garrets fault but Dak at most should get 20 mil for 2021. Take another look next season.
Wow. Uninformed much?
Franchise tag is about 33.

he was on tv with frank thomasAgree but don't remember any commercials. May be wrong but I can't remember any on TV. just like in the NBA alot of players have sponsors but not alot do commercials. That is were you are going to make more money at, being on the tube.
You think we'd be dumb enough to exclusive tag him?Exclusive tag is 33
The success of my employer has nothing to do with my personal merchandise sales. Cowboys? Um...I'd say YES. "America's TEAM!"
Amazing the rationalizing people will do to suit their opinions.
I think emit is being nice about telling dak to take whatever is offered or they will cut your *** and sign something better for cheaper.
problem is dak wants to watch it happen. So, on to the next 8-8 talented qb we go. Hopefully he shows some talent of being good unlike the last two
The market dictates what you are worth. If the Cowboys are not gonna pay him $35-40M, someone else will. I don't think he is worth that, but the market is what the market is.
Depends on whether they think he might be a no show for the non exclusive because it's highly doubtful any team is giving up 2 1sts and paying him 27M.You think we'd be dumb enough to exclusive tag him?

Hmmmmm...........OK.That isn't dumb. We've already offered him a multi year deal with a yearly value at around the tag amount.
No way he plays on the non-exclusive tag. And no way two late first rounders are going to net us a replacement.
Why do you think no QB has ever held out? And this one has a new coaching staff and offense to install. That isn't dumb. We've already offered him a multi year deal with a yearly value at around the tag amount.

I've seen the figure 7M tossed around for his endorsements, what do you think those companies are going to do if their spokesperson is a now show for 26M to play a game for one year? The target consumer for those products might make in their lifetime what Prescott would make on one Sunday and they're going to relate to that?
Every team understands the need for a positive image for the player perceived to be the leader of that team. The team doesn't even want to put him in a bad light.
I do believe that the parties will discuss the next steps of a tagging prior to that happening.
How many times has the team went 8-8, under Dak? How many times under Romo? Another question, would you take less; yes or no?
You can't compare the endorsements of any RB to the endorsements of the QB, especially the QB of the Dallas Cowboys. When Emmitt was putting up back to back rushing titles and the Cowboys were on top of the NFL world, I'm sure he had his share of endorsement deals. They certainly weren't for the amount of money players are seeing today but times have changed. I'm sure if Emmitt was in his prime today and was putting up the numbers he did in the early to mid 90s, he would want to be the highest paid player at his position just like he did then or he would hold out. Dak is playing in a day and age where QBs who've done little to nothing are being paid an outrageous amount of money.
None of these QBs want to take less than what the other QBs are getting because it makes it appear their team doesn't value them like the teams of those other QBs. I doubt Mahomes is going to give KC a break to keep their team together when he signs. Regardless what he gets paid it may look like a bargain 5 years from now. QB salaries are going higher and higher. Derek Carr's contract looked ridiculous a few years ago and now we have a QB making 10M more per season.
That's not the truth because unless you say the same when people are on the opposite side your logic doesn't make sense. When everybody is going pay the man are you like he shouldn't be commenting on another players contract? If not well reread the first sentence.Emmitt is welcome to his opinion.
Truth be told though. He shouldn’t be commenting on another players contract. Retired or not.
