Dallas scored two total touchdowns in the first three quarters of those games.

Bob leaves that part out.
Expectations. The average rank of those 3 teams' defenses last year was 7th, and the average rank of their offenses was 28th.

So you'd expect Dallas' offense have more trouble than in the average game, and that's what happened. Against those three defenses, the Cowboys scored about 7 points less than their average.

But you'd expect Dallas' defense to have an easy time with all three of those teams. (The Bills, Jets, and Bears offenses were held under 20 points in a combined 28 games last year.) Instead, the defense struggled. The Dallas D allowed those three teams almost a full 9 points per game more than it allowed in its other games.

All I know is Dan Bailey was kicking in the playoffs for the Vikings and Brett Maher is kicking in a walmart parking lot and missed the entire building 30 yards out.

Who's idea it was to let go a All Pro kicker? The same guy that passed on Randy Moss, traded for Joey Galloway, Roy Williams, fired Jimmy Johnson, held on to Jason Garrett, and just hired the retired Grimace as Head Coach.

His statement was made on Twitter- he only had 280 characters to work with. If you listen to Sturm on a regular basis, he does speak to multiple issues that plagued this team in 2019. I think Twitter is what limited his answer here.

Yes a lot of other things went on that attributed to those losses.
Like an entire team just going thru the motions.

This was an embarrassing season that encompassed the entire operation.

All 3 units deserve equal blame for the craptastic season that was 2019.

This is the truth. 3 phases plus coaching didn't get it done. D couldn't buy a turnover, offense fell behind regularly while special teams and coaching flat out sucked.

Dude is a huge Dak apologist.
It’s easy to tell them tbh. I was listening to a Cowboys podcast and they were saying people going back and forth about Dak being signed when it’s silly since he would be here. Guess if they were Skins fans they’d been saying the same about Cousins since Wash did similar things towards saying Cousins is their qb. It’s just so easy to see these Dak apologist. Crazy thing is he isn’t that good to have apologist unless a person is an apologist for any ole average qb.

This is what fans are too dumb to realize. The offense had the worst avg starting field position and only had 1 drive yes only 1 start in the opposing teams territory. Also worst in the nfl.
If I remember we started at around the 10 while opposing teams started near the 30? Something like that. We were always backed up.

Facts spoil yet another narrative based on an agenda.

I think the FO allowed wanted Maher to die with JG, but it got too out of hand when it got embarrassing late so they made the change.

I guess we can all thank Maher for sucking!

I’d also like to mention the timing of penalties. While we didn’t receive the MOST penalties (which they keep stats on), if someone that enjoys meticulous research were willing to look, I’d wager Dallas is at or near the top in flags thrown at the worst possible time on both sides of the ball. Yes, yes, I’m quite aware that everyone says their team was ripped off when they lose, and our team is most certainly the architect of the vast majority of their failures, BUT, with apologies to Marcus, I submit that this is ALSO one of the many factors that help determine our success.

As long as the coaches have watched the tape and figured out these things, there is no point in rubbing our faces in those dreadful lowlights of 2019. I'm not going to forget 2019 but I wish I could. IMO, Sturm is a sadist.
