Johnson hasn't been right for three seasons. Every RB will come and go, but none will last like Zeke.
I HEAR YA..but its too early yet with Houston. They have shown they are willing to make deals. Cooper on their radar???

what I don't understand is you could of traded him for a 1st and a 3rd.

1st could of gotten someone like Lamb and 3rd could of gotten a decent runningback.

You would of gotten extremely cap relieve and filled both positions. You know have a bloated contract and no WR ???

NFLN saying it was a salary dump for Houston and the past few years they were quietly shopping Hopkins.
Basically it is a swap. Hopkins and 4t for Johnson and 2nd.

no big deal. Each team thinks it improves themselves.

I actually think the Cardinals got the better deal. But Houston really just wanted the cap space.
that's my take too. Both teams are just maneuvering the cap for other moves. Neither team is done.

Lolol..you just say no big deal like it's nothing

There is a significant gap in skill and impact between these two players..it's a huge deal

I edited it since your reply. I stated the Cardinals got the better deal.

doesn't matter. The fact is they swapped Johnson and Hopkins, that is a terrible move. And they have to pay for a guy who can be replaced with a 6th round pick.

Deal cant be official until Wednesday

Dallas needs to scoop in and trade Zeke and a 1st to Houston for Hopkins alone.

Problem is if Houston wanted the cap relief they would of asked for more picks (1st and 3rd for Hopkins straight up).

Instead they traded for a 2nd and a 10+ million dollar cap hit in Johnson ????

If cap was the ultimate prize then why didn't they just trade for picks only ?

ESPN saying the trade clears the way for Houston to possibly sign Amari.

I believe they would know to have signed Amari first.

Stupid if true.

Hopkins is elite on a 13,15, 14 per year. So trade a top 3 receiver who is 27 for a guy you might sign?

I mean it's possible. Just something fishy they are reporting
