Clearly. And then they got straight to work on the excuses they would make when Dallas bungled it.

WHY CAN'T DALLAS MAKE A PLAYER TAKE THE DEAL I WANT??????????

Injury prone WR didn't want to play 8 games on one of the worst playing surfaces in the league? I am shocked.

Higher property taxes.

Higher sales taxes.

Don't be fooled.

Everyone who owns property have to pay property taxes and everyone has to pay sales taxes. Now there are several NFL cities that have higher property taxes and sales taxes PLUS state income taxes. So how many players do you think would say they would be happy to trade having the property taxes and sales taxes of say Green Bay but have to pay many many times more than those property taxes and sales taxes in state income taxes. Your argument holds absolutely now water.

They could have and probably should have played hard ball with Zeke. I am glad he is signed but don't like the way he did it. It did set themselves up for players to test them like Dak has. I think Amari is just happy to be a Cowboy

Different year with different position which has a different market value. Not to mention that other teams who pay players who have sat out but when other teams do that they aren't driving up player prices only when the Cowboys do it. Try comparing apples to apples not apples to oranges.

So you don't think caving to Zeke gives Dak a little more confidence in his position? That's apples to apples - I don't know what orange you are talking about.

Ok. Let's just do rough math.

20m - 16 game checks. Average income tax is 15%

8 home games - 10m
8 road games - 8.5m

A $6.5m difference over the life of a contract for a guy who a) just signed for $100m and b) probably isn't going to see the full length of the contract anyway, is pretty insignificant.

6.5 million, if it was your money, you'd think otherwise......

coops deal is not attached to daks, Dak wont budge his agents are playing hardball and he got the tag for his efforts.. you are worth what you are worth and 33/105 and coming to the middle on years is more than fair..They wont compromise stop acting as iof the FO isnt trying to keep them and giving 20mil per to AC is not that team friendly when in reality AC should have been capped at 18 IMO.. he got what he wanted big AVG long term deal and yes let the team have friendly structure.. Daks the ONLY PLAYER OVER THE LAST 3 YEARS that refuses to do the same.. what makes him so FN special 9-7. 10-6, and well what have you dont lately 8-8 with terrible last 6 games..

pressure on Amari, nah he doesnt care, dudes low key and plays how he plays, Gallup no scrub, hes weapon and still developing.. Jarwins been on the cusp of arriving and needs all the starter snaps to prove if hes a JAG or a solid starter..
Its glass half full/empty to me.

When I suggest its team friendly by Amari, what I mean is he could have used the 'Skins to force the Dallas offer higher.

He did not. Not saying it was optimal as in a home team discount as many think should happen with every signing. That is unrealistic.

Dak is playing hardball and Dallas has nobody to blame but themselves.

They have been praising Dak as the face of the Franchise since his rookie year.

They knew they would have to pay for that at some point. Dak has been a quick study of how the NFL works with its star players.

And he understands marketing. He has watched Jerrah market his skills to increase the exploding value of the Franchise brand.

Dr. Frankenstein..meet your monster. Jerrah you created Dak. Now feed him.

This will blow over soon enough.

Zeke paid.

Amari paid.

Tank paid.

Jaylon paid.

Byron Jones used as much as they could.

Cobb..same thing.

Quinn same thing.

As bad as 2019 was and the coaching change was inevitable..the team handled some personel issues well enough to have won alot more.

Right now we have so many pieces in motion for 2020 that it isn't clear yet.

We wait. And hope. And post.

Maryland's state income tax is 5.75% so it's even less.

Your rant is first funny and then has errors. There are more than one person that will say that Lawrence didn't sign a team friendly deal after getting tagged for a second year in a row and that was just last year which falls in your "ONLY PLAYER OVER THE LAST 3 YEARS" . Now you've determined for the Cowboys how much Prescott is worth and how Cooper who turned down 22 mil a year for the 20 mil a year the Cowboys offered isn't being team friendly.because you say he should have only gotten 18 mil a year.
.
I disagree ,

theres more then one definition of TEAM FRIENDLY...
look at years, structure and backloaded contracts.. thats team friendly and all of them allowed the DC FO to structure them in a way to where the AAV was great for pubic ego and they get decent bonus money in guarantees but let the FO structure it to help the team do more staggered deals..

thats a fact thats what DAK wont do , not only does he want a short deal , wants bigger guarantees, and a high AAV..its why he got tagged the rest got signed.. Im saying on AC its not as if he took some kind iof true hit to stay, I said he did a team friendly in regard of structure and thats why he got his deal but not in comp to the AAV as they are about the same when you break down the sales tax and what not, not having to relocate, similar system , same guy throwing to him, he didnt sacrifice in that regard.. so stuff your errors where ever it makes you feel comfy..:muttley::laugh::popcorn::oldcouple:

Are you saying that paying higher property taxes isn't a consideration in taking a $20 million a year deal in Dallas vs. a $22 million a year deal in Washington, D.C.? Well, actually Maryland, since the Commanders play in Maryland and not in D.C.

You gotta be pretty foolish to believe other taxes don't replace state income tax.

Basic math. States get their money. They just take it in different ways.

Gee do you think Prescott and his agent France are sitting around doing their planning talking about what other position players did in 2015 or 1995 too. Or do they discuss what other QUARTERBACKS got paid. France has a history of trying to get his players the highest paid for their positions. He's not won every time but he tries and I doubt Elliott's situation has been entered into the discussions with the Cowboys at any time.

Not really. I wouldn't leave a job I like for 6% over 5 years, and I certainly don't make $20m/year lol

But if he played for someone else(washington), the tax difference would be even greater because unless he plays the Cowboys, he's taxed even more playing somewhere else, not just the eight games at home in Dallas.

The Commanders have to overpay. They are such a horrible organization and mistreat players so frequently that no one will come there except for max dollar; and even if max dollar is on the table, they'll look at other offers.

I'm talking period. Yeah, there are lots of TV spots but Dan Snyder doesn't steer deals for TV spots towards specific players. I've never ever heard of this. Jerry Jones does and players are on record about this. Jerry definitely takes care of his guys. Snyder pays you but that's it. He doesn't look after his players like Jerry does. I'm very sure about this.
The only spot I see from the Commanders players in this area is Eastern Motors, a bend you over and we will get you into a car outside your price range car dealer. The dealer puts an interlock in their cars that you have to punch in a code to disable after making your payment.

Trade them Cooper for their 1st and take Chase Young or Okudah. If they took Young, they could still take a CB with that 1st and get a couple of WR's in a WR deep draft.
