Just 2 years ago, his peers ranked him the #100 best player in the NFL.
3 years ago, he was ranked #77.

So what happened in the past two years?
He had a down year with the Commanders. Then by all accounts, he was good with the Bears last year.

Not saying he's still a top 100 player, but I don't think he's too far removed from being that player again. He's only 27.

If anything, his Commanders season is the one outlier in his career. And I mean, he was with the Commanders. Hard to hold that year against him.

Yeah, I don't get that. He's 27. For reference he's a little over 3 years older than Kyle Dugger who some were wanting in this draft.

Although he wasn't my first choice at FA safety he's far from washed up as some have implied.

Given the price and the McCarthy connection it's a solid pick up and upgrade over Heath.

Not hijacking this thread but Davis and Reagor May be each taken a round earlier. Will have to trade up for Davis and Reagor won’t fall outside 40

go watch his tape, that's all I can tell you, the guy hates contact, also takes bad angles like Heath, miss tackles, he may have a little more range.

this we can agree on, I saw every game of his here in Washington, he was horrible, they had all kinds of jokes and memes here. they treated him worse than they treated Heath. the game that stuck out was the Dallas game. where Amari took their lunch.
