Winston may be an immature kid and possibly an attacker of women, but the people calling him stupid obviously know nothing about the guy.

He's actually very smart and got excellent grades in high school and college.

Having said that, I cannot stand the guy. But he's far from stupid.

Have you watched the Bucs play in recent seasons? Their defense has been truly horrific! They have required a bunch of points to win games without a running game = risky throws to win.

Defensive points conceded per game on average during the regular season:

Bucs
2019 - 28 points
2018 - 29 points

Cowboys
2019 - 20 points
2018 - 20 points

Winston would be cheap and given a better defense and a strong running game he wouldn't make (as many) dumb throws plus you would get a load of big plays when required to win games.

he is so great that Bucs, Indy, Raiders, Chargers, Chicago, NE, Carolina all have passed on him so far. what a great in demand QB.....

Not many, but aside from teams that don't already have a starter, there may be some teams that would at least give him the opportunity to compete for the starting job. In any case, I have no doubt his asking price would be prohibitive for any team with an established starter.

I mean, you can like Dak or not, but he's so much better than Winston, they are not in the same conversation when evaluating QB's.

Dak has 36 INTs total. In 4 years.

Jameis has 73 INTs over that same span, and in 8 fewer games.

Don’t forget Dak’s 31 fumbles in the last four years. I am about to shock you. As much as I hate Dak being the starting QB for the Dallas Cowboys, I had rather keep him than sign Winston. I hate Winston just about as much as I hate Dak. They are about the same QB IMO. Neither one of them is going to take Dallas to the promise land. Neither one will ever be a franchise QB and neither one will be what Dallas needs at the position, so why waste time signing Winston when you have his clone already?

At times? He led the league only one season. He actually was tied with Goff that season for the league lead with 12 fumbles. Goff touched the ball 637 times and Prescott 657 times.

I will say this, Winston never had a running game and had coaches who dont like to run the football. He was thrown into the fire with not much help that would minimize his pass total.

Wont be surprised if he goes to a team like the Giants where Jones has a short leash or to a team where the qb is close to retirement.

yes but I doubt he gets 30 mil. Probably low 20's or less.

I forgot which free agency video it was, but when they were talking about why the Bucs signed a 42 year old QB one of the people pointed out that Winston has thrown more INT than Rodgers.

I thought he was exaggerating considering how long each have been in the league, but I checked it out and sure enough:

Rodgers = 84 total Ints in 181 total games and 174 starts
Winston = 88 total Ints in 72 total games and 70 starts

Winston could have an Interception-less 17 game season next year (I know 2020 is still 16 games) and STILL average over 1 Int per start.

If Winston is a starting QB, he better be on a Vet Minimum contract because you cannot win with a guy who turns it over.

Winston is the same player with a few more turnovers. I will repeat the fact that there are many QBs that could have done just as well as Dak, probably better, with the talent surrounding them. Have you ever watched Staubach or Aikman to see what a winning Cowboys QB really looks and plays like? Maybe mom will let you use the TV . I hope so. Dense? I am dense? I don’t remember you being at the last Mensa meeting.
