how the flip do you know this? its new season, new scheme and new caches to get him going..NO DOG house and lack of creativity from the coach,,he could for sure be depth, year 2 players do improve..Taco even starting finally coming along, only reason we traded him was his work ethic and attitude.. Hill is the same personality and needs to be coached up..
you have ZERO idea and lend 0 to actual facts on how Hill will respond..
Hey, I don’t know for sure but I don’t want a guy with Taco’s and Hill’s attitude etc. on my football team. You actually made my point. You said the only reason we traded Taco was his work ethic and attitude. Who wants a player like that on their team? I completely disagree about Taco coming along. I doubt Taco even makes Miami’s roster this year.

I can see how it comes off that way. All together they played poorly. Yes they were second in sacks but overall yes. Team was in disarray and overall didn’t do well clearly.

There was a point where they won 5/6 games. Poe then got hurt for the remainder of the year shortly after...then it all fell apart...whether or not that's bc of Poe or not, I have no idea..

Well said. We have no idea. Let’s hope he can come with McCoy and grade out well. McCarthy is getting his guys. 646 pounds controlling the middle.

Thank god. This is what smart teams do, sign mid tier starters that 1. Don't have long term cap implications and 2. give your younger players time to develop/rotate.

You don't just draft more unproven talent and go "hey go mess around with those other unproven guys, maybe something magical will happen".........

The NFL is built to where you can improve/replace players quickly. Look at Greenbay last year, they upgrade 7 starting position via draft/free agency and it resulted in them going from 6 wins in 2018 to NFC title game in 2019

So we upgraded DT and S...what we’ve all been screaming for years.

But in the meantime we downgraded at CB, DE, and C (can’t really blame C on anyone)

I guess we can’t have all nice things at once

Draft is coming up!

I had wanted Kinlaw with the 1st, now Dallas can select a CB instead or trade down for center ala Frederick.

Landing a true NT was paramount if the team truly wanted to employ a hybrid scheme. We know McCoy is better suited as a 3 tech in a 4 man alignment, but he did play some 3-4 DE. I wonder if M. Daniels is also on their radar, he was once considered the best 3-4 DE in the league. Our base will still be a four man front, but the team has some flexibility to creating different looks.

What are they going to do a RE? Some rumblings that player will be more of a standup rusher. Could we see more of a pass rushing OLB? Do we bring in a traditional hand in the dirt 4-3 DE or do we add another 5 technique who has the ability to hold up multiple blockers? I do believe we will sign some sort of fa at the position.

Kinlaw/Brown are still my top targets, We have to add edge rusher to the list now. I was against drafting a WR but now it looks more feasible with Cobb departing. All likelyhood, CB is probably the direction they will take if the board works out their way.

Or you can include him since the lame coaching last year screwed him up somewhat. Give him a chance in year 2, see if he has matured, and what the new and much improved coaching staff can do.
Can you say personal responsibility! Blame the coaching for his poor attitude and lack of desire. No that is on Hill!!
You can blame coaching for a lot of things( bad play design, bad clock management, teaching poor technique, etc. etc.) but don't’ blame the coaching for this duds poor attitude and lack of desire.

I know it’s not what the fan base wants to hear, but T.Crawford is your starting RDE with R.Gregory rotating and coming in on pass rush downs.

why all the excitement? I don't get it. is it because these are names we have heard of in the past and we are perhaps living in the past?

Carolina was 23rd on defense. 29th in rush defense. we were 11th in rush defense.... and we just signed their two DTs...excuse me if I am not excited.
I think we need slow down a little bit in our praise for these two moves. They seem like upgrades, but Carolina was terrible vs the run last year. Including on 1st down with those 2 big bodies on the line often together.

McCoy/Poe.
we haven't had an interior like that in awhile.
Somewhere out there, probably near Vegas way....

Rod Marinelli is grinning at how awful Dallas is going to be this year along the defensive front.

Sheesh here’s your starting D-Line last year to this year

2019: LDE- DLaw, 3T-M.Collins, 1T- A.Woods, RDE- Quinn

2020: LDE- DLaw, 3T-McCoy, 1T- Poe, RDE- RG/TCraw/outside FA/draft pick

Big upgrade if you ask me, especially with DLaw healthier

yeh it's not quite over yet, ....maybe Stephen will either try to make another Robert Quinn like vet trade, ..or he'll vie for drafting a high regarded DE within first two rounds
and depend a committee of Armstrong, Gregory and another bargain vet to factor in until that prized rookie DE is ready to assume full time duties.

it would be a huge setback if Crawford has to start at DE,where he loses a ton of battles, vs when he operates inside as a nickel DT.
