Thank god. This is what smart teams do, sign mid tier starters that 1. Don't have long term cap implications and 2. give your younger players time to develop/rotate.

You don't just draft more unproven talent and go "hey go mess around with those other unproven guys, maybe something magical will happen".........

The NFL is built to where you can improve/replace players quickly. Look at Greenbay last year, they upgrade 7 starting position via draft/free agency and it resulted in them going from 6 wins in 2018 to NFC title game in 2019
I agree. Many fans think, “oh this is a 2-3 year process to make a Superbowl run”. Teams that make a few smart moves in Free Agency and draft well can make dramatic improvement in 1 year. The jury is still out on how much of an improvement McCoy and Poe will be, but if they pan out it is a great start to an improved team!

why all the excitement? I don't get it. is it because these are names we have heard of in the past and we are perhaps living in the past?

Carolina was 23rd on defense. 29th in rush defense. we were 11th in rush defense.... and we just signed their two DTs...excuse me if I am not excited.

You are probably the same kind of guy that didn't blame Garrett for the cowboys dysfunction last year and put it all on Dak.. I want to inform you that Rivera was on his way out last year and lost the team. They had a horribly disjointed rotational system on the dline as well. But, go ahead and act like this isn't a huge upgrade for our boys, have at it sailor..
