Cooper doesn’t give 50%, though, which is why the comment is a dumb one.

Oh really? Explain lack of effort on routes, not giving a crap on the road, being okay with being taken out on a 4th down in a key moment in an important game.

Right, I guess all the Raiders fans who pointed this out 3 years ago were just imagining things as well.

Turd in NFL lingo usually refers to the character of the player, not the ability of the player.

I remember PFT used to have a Turd tracker of some kind and listed all the players who were arrested, primarily in the offseason.

Rex didn't just mention "ability", he mentioned Cooper not giving effort on the field. THAT seems to be what made him angry.

This has been something Cooper has been accused of since the Raiders. I've seen worse said about Dez and his lazy route running.

It was a dumb thing to say, but I hope Rex doesn’t lose his job over it. I’m afraid he might get fired if there’s enough backlash over this.

He made a mistake and apologized for it the same day. The apology seems sincere.

One thing about TV is that they want guys like Rex to be candid and as forthright as possible. That’s what makes for great TV. Rex was just a little TOO candid here and crossed the line.

Used to see examples of Dez's lazy route running all the time.

My explanation is that it’s mostly in your head. And that “being ok with being taken out of a game” is in no way a commentary of the effort he puts out on the field.

I don't care what he says. It affects nothing except fan's emotions.
This thread being an example.

Rex is a "HAVE NOT." ...your typical lowlife human being. Takes pot shots on guys like their daddy always did...and like Daddy, his mouth always got him in trouble..lots of talk and no action. Foot and mouth disorder bigtime.

You addressed nothing....

Explain it, or is that now all on Garrett your favorite former HC?

Raiders coaches said this....this signing was just as stupid as Zekes.

If he gets fired for this it must've been a strike 3 and you're out type of deal. He shouldn't get fired for this. That doesn't mean they don't have other reasons to fire him though.

I don't think Cooper gave 50% I think injuries and poor coaching decisions gave way to most of the non-playing or playing issues on the field. We will see if he is 100% healthy and the coaches aren't complete idiots what the difference is.

So he's been injured his entire career because he did it with the Raiders as well.
