I wish they would sub him in more randomly instead of we're going to give Zeke this entire drive off and get Pollard in the game. Then he'll sit for the other 55 minutes of the game.

I am very interested to see how they divvy up the RB time. Any REAL offensive mind would realize how good Pollard is and give him a larger role in the offense.

Early on Jones had a cut move and wiggle as he darted through a hole and lost it after Parcells jumped on him about the fumbling. He ran robotic after that. He seemed more worried about hanging onto the ball than making a play. He had the makings of developing into a great runner his first couple of years. He looked special in the game against Seattle.

WOW! completely different back after the tuna finished with him.

Speed, vision, quickness, moves, elusiveness, outside running ability. All those things are better than Zeke, and that isn't debatable. I would probably add passing game abilities as well, but that is just a hunch.

What can we say Zeke does better? Durability, blocking, strength? Short yardage maybe?
Its hard for me to say because the only time I've seen Pollard is after Zeke has worn the defense out. I know in preseason when Pollard got reps he didn't show nearly the vision, quickness, elusiveness that you guys seem to be raving about.

Only time Pollard played is when Zeke wore out they defense? LOL

That ridiculous comment just shows how biased you are. Making up facts. Some of those clips were from preseason FYI.

It reminds of the days when people thought Troy hambrick was a better running back then Emmitt.

That was back when Emmitt was in decline and Hambrick was averaging 5.0 a carry in spot duty. When Hambrick became the starter his average dropped to 3.5 a carry.

Making up facts? What part was made up?

I'm a Pollard fan but you guys just can't be fans. You guys have to go so overboard. Pollard is basically the best running back in the league according to you guys.

Don't diminish what he did by trying to credit Zeke for his accomplishments.

Kid needs more touches.

Which is why I won't be surprised if we don't draft a receiver early. To get Pollard on the field more, I think we could see him used as a slot receiver who can motion into the backfield, come around for the reverse or jet sweep, etc.

That’s where we need to increase his touches as a receiver. He’s never going to get a lot of touches running the ball backing up Zeke.

I wonder if they view Pollard as a potential replacement for losing Cobb. I don’t mean he’ll play slot receiver, but I mean we’ll try to make up for some of the production we’ll be losing with Cobb by involving Pollard in the passing game more, rather than drafting someone like Ruggs in the 1st round.

I think he will play slot receiver. We can put him in the backfield and then motion him out, or vice versa. Lots of versatility there.

As a back, I don't expect him to relieve Elliott any more than he did last year, so this would get him more touches. We underutilized his receiving ability last year IMO.

I believe so. We're not a team that has a true two-back system. We've got a workhorse back. To not use Pollard in more ways than as relief for Elliott would be a waste.

You made up the fact that Pollard only got in games late when Zeke had already run over them.

Pollard is a legitimate back. That much is clear. How much do you have to see to realize that?

The ONLY question left for me is can he really carry a full load. But honestly, I don't care about that as I would just do a RB by committee anyway. Pollard would be one of two or 3 backs that would get carries.

Saying we think Pollard is the best back in the league is another exaggeration.

Last year it was pretty much 90-10 split. I would hope that this season its at least 70-30 split. If I were the coach and I had to have Zeke here then I would probably do more of a 60-40 split.

I don't see it increasing much. In fact, I believe McCarthy already has said that Elliott will get his touches, saying, "You get the ball to your playmaker" when asked about it. I think expecting his carries to go down is just the unrealistic hopes of some who don't like Elliott for whatever reason.

If Pollard's snaps are going to increase, it will primarily be through other ways to get him on the field IMO.

Not discrediting what he did. I’m a Pollard fan. I was a Pollard fan before he even got on this team and everyone said we shouldn’t have drafted him. But I’m not gonna diminish what Zeke did In favor of Pollard either. These same people hyping up Pollard are the same ones I’ve been arguing with about Zeke lol.

I need to see him do it for another year. And what games did Pollard do damage in that Zeke didn’t?

Zeke had nothing to do with Pollard's moves to create the plays he did. I wish Zeke showed the same ability. He would be unstoppable.
