Just google his name. Its more than his hip, the lad is labeled by some team doctors as being brittle.

I think a player has to be declared dead for Dallas to fail them on the physical. Even then Jerry may still select them in the 2nd round. lol

"we have the technology, we can rebuild him"

"we have the technology, we can rebuild him"

Translation:
Jerry's bank account is ready to be pilfered by yet another high risk gamble. At the risk of a player that can actually contribute right away and for years to come.

I wonder what teams would even give him a physical? Wouldn’t it only be teams drafting early or in that top 25?

I'm pretty sure all teams would have him in (even as a diversion), foolish not too as you never know what will happen during the draft

Thanks for that, Steetwise.

Tua's surgery was about 5 months ago. A serious injury by most accounts, but one that seemed to have a positive prognosis after the surgery. The bone and joint exam at the combine would likely determine a players ability to play now. I think the teams who have their sites on Tua, like possibly the Chargers, would love to sit him for a year, let him learn and fully heal.

I hope that the young man does not have another health issue. I see him going top 10 for sure.

If a guy (a QB) who was being discussed as a #1 overall pick falls to you at 17 you gotta take him. Yes it's risky. But the payoff would be huge if it works out. Plus, it would give us immediate leverage with Dak.

I'm seeing way more upside to this than not. The downside is the first round pick on him. But that's it. If Dak screws the pooch under the tag you have his replacement for the next 4 years. If not, the Cowboys can probably get at minimum a 2nd rounder in return.

Not gonna lie, he’d be awfully tempting if he fell to 17. And I like Dak.
I never found him to be the type of player that would be good in NFL. he is a great college QB, surrounded by some of the best talent in college (isn't that what Dak is accused of having). Alabama showed they succeed without him, which speaks to his talent. he is now injury prone and would probably be similar in the NFL unless he sits on the bench for a couple of years to heal and learn.

I wouldn't be enticed. I would actually look to trade down for a team that would be interested.

Yeah if I can find a trade partner...that would be ideal. Some fans fell in love with Tua because of his name.....

this is the great opportunity to offer Dak, for example with the chargers, they need a QB, and you still have salary space, Dak + First round 2021 + Second round 2022, for Charger 6th overall pick, negotiate that 6th round for more picks For example, with the buccaneers, they need the best available tackle to protect Brady, the number 6 pick plus the second round pick, plus the fourth round pick, for the number 14 pick, with the number 14 pick selecting CJ Henderson and with the pick 17 select Xavier McKinney, if Tua falls much on the table, because he did not pass two medical exams, try to select him at the first opportunity, or select Jalen Hurts, then sign Cam Newton or James Winston for 1 year. and we are ready to rumble.

The issue isn’t just the hip. According to Lombardi he already has had a host of injuries that have caused him problems. The ankle, the hip, the wrist (twice), etc.

I suppose that I would consider the risk at 17 depending upon who else is available. Remember that Tua also had Ruggs and Jeudy as receivers.

Even before his injury, I never thought he was all that.

Yes, let's draft that over-rated injured Tua, then trade Dak......

.....so we can laugh at the anti-Dakers.

Ouch this is kind of not what you want to hear when you draft your QB.

“And he’s brittle,” Lombardi continued. “You can’t deny it. You can’t deny it.”

More from the Article:

Beyond his well chronicled hip injury.

Here are the previously reported and undisputed injuries, according to Forbes:

— Broken left index finger (March 2018; no games missed)

— Sprained right knee (October 2018; no games missed)

— Left high ankle sprain (December 2018; surgery; no games missed)

— Right high ankle sprain (October 2019; surgery; 1 game missed)

— Dislocated right hip with posterior acetabular wall fracture (November 2019; surgery; missed final 3.5 games)

But Mike Lombardi, who worked for the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, Oakland Raiders, Cleveland Browns and New England Patriots front offices and is plugged in among some scouts and personnel departments, recently unloaded on Tagovailoa’s injury history and reported previously unknown information about multiple broken wrists.

The good thing is out of all those injuries he only missed 1 game until the major hip injury.

Pretty sure you can' trade a player who hasn't signed the tender, franchised or not...and there's no way Dak is signing before the draft.

Not gonna lie, .. i wanted Tua so fit and ready to go as hell,,,just so some other NFL team can draft him in the first round before we pick
and leave that much more that one key player dropping to our laps at 17th overall. :D

Exactly. This is the same team that drafted Bruce Carter, Sean Lee (although in the 2nd round) and LVE (1st). All 3 had medical red flags coming out of college but we still drafted them.
