I dont care about the fact he was a starting qb playing for relative peanuts because he was a 4th rd pick. The rules are the rules that the players have agreed to. Only more of a reason to draft a QB and put some pressure right back on Dak.

And Dak is doing what's "by the rules" as did Zeke. And Dak has played out his contract and still gets heat so it proves Zeke was right to do it when he did. Hate you if you do, hate you if you don't. The fact that fans are "uncomfortable" with it is irrelevant. We know fans want owners to "win" but when you rely on players the way we have there's a cost. And these players want all they can get just like any one of us would. Of course when it's others' money, capitalism is yucky. Tough.

So we are now comparing Tua to hall of fame quarterbacks? Makes sense.
And considering teams are saying he’s failing physicals is where I’m saying injury issues.
How many physicals did Watosn and Mahomes fail before the draft? I don't see any.......

It depends. Knowing your worth can go a long way. It won't help everyone. It won't. A lot of places will rather pay someone what you won't take. But if you offer something to a company and they don't believe they can get that same quality from anyone else.....they will pay you what you are worth. Or what you think you're worth anyway. Sometimes it takes being told no a few times to get to this point. At 18......you will catch a no more than likely.

Which is another point I believe he is missing, if we're continuing on the "role model" path for the kiddos.

If you have given your "all" to said company, and they still don't value you? Get out. You don't bring everyone down with you to prove a point. That's selfish at this point, not valiant or heroic.

They didn't get knocked out because of Kirk Cousins though lol. Dan Marino never won anything so what's your point? If you aren't lucky enough to play for a Super Bowl team then you don't want them as your quarterbacks?

Guys like Cousins are never the reason you lose, they’re just never the reason you win either..

They are mediocre and taking up a ton of cap space and on game day he’s just facilitating the team..

Now remove Cousins and add a top tier QB to that team or a even have a guy like Cousins on a rookie deal to boost the team around him and see what happens..

What won’t happen is them winning a championship because the team around Cousins won’t be good enough and he himself simply isn’t good enough to elevate a franchise.

They are stuck.

Just like Dallas is about to be.

Our only hope is big coaching improvements.

Risk it.. Give him the year off to get right and you have possibly the best QB in this class.

If you play it safe with Dak and give him all that money you’re locking yourself into a Kirk Cousins type of player..

Go draft a potential superstar that will be on a cheap deal. That’s what wins. Not following the stupidity of teams overpaying QBs.

Yes, let's mortgage this entire draft to get 1 guy who *might* be a franchise quarterback when you already have a top 12 QB on your roster who's just about to enter his prime.

It doesn't quite work that way.

If 18 year old Johnny walked into his bosses office and demanding a raise, citing an NFL Player's "hold out" as his inspiration, he'd be shown the door in a heartbeat.

It's a fine line, holding professionalism and pride in your work, while not coming off as crass and selfish.
Ya, but not only Dak, but every player in the NFL, even our last kicker,, whatever his name was,,Mahr...lol
They all have a completely different life, and Bank Account than us average joes.
Cant compare fans life to Pros life.
Two entirely different realms of existence.

You are creating this "top tier quarterback" that doesn't exist. Mahomes would've lost the Super Bowl if his defense didn't help him out. Mind you Aaron Rodgers and Drew Bree's are two of the best players of all time and have 1 ring.

You have the weirdest most *** backwards opinions on what this team should do. Everything you say is pretty much what the Browns do.
That's the irony of it. He's suggesting doing what others teams have done failed in the past lol.

Oh really?

I said the team should hire AndY Reid the day he was fired..

Im telling the Cowboys to drop their Alex Smith and try and draft a superstar at the position.

Maybe I’m doing exactly what the Chiefs and other championship teams do. Win with QBs on cheap Rookie deals.

Do you pay attention to how teams are winning Superbowls or are you just a Dak fan and are fine with being stuck in the middle?

That would be fine and dandy if not for the fact that Dallas has made him good offers that made him one of the top 5 paid QBs in the league.

Takes 2 sides to strike up a deal and seems like Dak is the one with unrealistic demands to me.

I'd rather be in the playoffs with a chance to win a Super Bowl than to be picking 2nd in the draft.

Doesn't matter who they draft. They can draft Chase Young, Okudah and Isiah Simmons all in one. At the end of the day their quarterback is Dwayne Haskins who they have question about to the point there are rumors they are thinking about quarterback there.

What good is Chase Young if you don't have a quarterback?
Funny thing is, the Commanders have been lower than the middle longer than the Cowboys have been in the middle!
Yet he advocates for that.

The Chiefs defense is terrible.. They played a 49ers team that relies on their coach to do everything for them offensively.

Top 12 QB who wants to be the highest-paid player in the NFL and wants a short deal so he can hold out again in a few more years.

He isn't worth what he thinks he is.
