The only reason any of us care is because of a Salary Cap. Not capitalism.

Paying RBs is stupid.. Overpaying QBs doesn’t work.

That is why people are pissed.. They are watching Dallas have virtually no success when these guys were cheap and now they are locking themselves into these deals while the team around these guys gets worse.
Its a myth people cling to because of Flacco, Matt Ryan and Stafford haven't done anything. But they haven't' done anything because of their team not drafting well. Its not because of their contracts. Jimmy G just got to the Super Bowl with his contract.

Sir @rocyaice understand this is not about playing the position of QB for Dak Hater's.

It's about filling a sacred position. Dak could win a Superbowl and they'll find an Asterisk.. "Dak won with Romo's team"......
Oh yeah the goal post will be pushed back. I'm sure if we do win it will be "He had to have McCarthy to do it". It will be something to devalue his impact lol.

Dude, you could literally list every position in the "overpaying for X" statement. But if there's ANY position you overpay, it's the QB and it's not even close because those are so hard to find, which is why they tend to go at the top of drafts. Whether you think Dak is worth it is another story that can be debated but "overpaying for a QB" I think is hardly a defense against. What you mean is you don't want to overpay THIS QB. That's fair if it's your opinion.

No I’m saying tua is failing physicals. The poster I was responding too brought up the other names
I know. Maybe you didn't see the post but he tried to compare Watson and Mahomes coming into the draft to Tua and I was piggy backing your opinion that they didn't fail physicals.

How many STARTING QBs have you seen holdout like this in the NFL? How many starting QBs have you seen tagged? If Jerry offered 50 million per season and Dak still held out, would you still be telling Jerry to "Get it done?" Cousins was tagged.... and he signed it and went about his business because he was smart enough to know his payday was inevitable. Dak is the leader of this team????

I dont care about the fact he was a starting qb playing for relative peanuts because he was a 4th rd pick. The rules are the rules that the players have agreed to. Only more of a reason to draft a QB and put some pressure right back on Dak.

Did you read and / or understand my part about ....or draft a QB?

And if Dak refuses a $50 million deal, he is stupid, and I would say move on and draft a QB. And Jerry is not that stupid either. He is not budging to up the offer, it is over the length of the contract. You are taking what I posted out of context.

I agree. I Just don't think Jimmy G is doing his part in the tango though.

Chief's defense is not terrible. Not only that but they made key stops when it mattered.

I actually think Miami would be a great place for him. I love what they are doing and they have a head coach who wins games he's not suppose to. I honestly think it would be smart for the Dolphins. Just to trade 1 first rounder for him.

Ya but Jimmy G is one pretty man,, Look, this coming from a str8 man, just the facts,, Jimmy G is so pretty he can dance himself into a SB.
Laugh it up yucks,, just trying to get this next day of in ordinate posting off with a bit of humor...

I've never understood this. Asking for a massive raise and then immediately skipping your first chance to show how dedicated to the team you are. I was already souring on Dak, but this plus the party BS has me completely off the wagon. Trade up and get your QB in the draft.

I would take Dak all day on the deal he had or if he was actually paid like the 10th best QB..

You give him the money he wants with all the holes this team currently has and I doubt we see a Lombardi in the next 4 years..

If you draft Tua.. Next year won’t be so great if he has to sit but then we have a decade of potential top tier QB play. This is an opportunity but Dallas will be conservative and get conservative results.

How about being UNDERPAID FOR 4 SEASONS and the Dallas Cowboys missing EVERY CHANCE to show the dedication to Dak and give him a raise??

Oh yeah...team friendly deal!! Cowboys already had it...for 4 seasons.

Don't blame him. He shouldn't show up until he has to or Barnum and Bailey give him a long term deal with a short length so he can have multiple bites at the free agency apple.

If you soured on him because of money that ain't yours then you would've soured on him regardless.

Yeah but how is he pulling everyone down with him? Jones's are not hurting.

Oh definitely not. PT Barnum is still going to make money. I was referring to his teammates who rely on his play to be competitive and win games. If Dak and Dallas Brass continue on with the chest bumping contest, the team will suffer as far as competition goes.

It might force an ineffective draft choice that sets them back another 4 years or so. It might cause a JAG, like Rush, to start and fall flat on his face..which in turn directly effects the team obviously. Hell, him doing this "hold out" business might set himself back, as far as fine details and nuances of a new offense implemented by the new coaching staff.

A ton of moving parts to the entire thing.

Some use humor to disguise the unconscious at work within. Freud would have loved to listen to more of your "humor" bubbling up in sessions. LOL.

Right, so can't count on him, so draft a QB. That is my take now days as the draft approaches. What, 9 days away.
This pushes Dak to sign, the we have a back up plan and possibly trade potential in the future for the drafted QB or a possible future QB if Dak does not work out on his tag. If he signs.

The more I think about it, drafting a QB at 17 is a win win.

Except that you are out a 1st round pick and statistically either drafted a player who will never play or who is a far worse QB.

FWIW. Didn't watch the video

Source: Dak to skip Cowboys' virtual offseason

A source tells Mike Florio Dak Prescott will skip the Cowboys' virtual offseason program as he still waits on a long-term deal with Dallas.

Good for Dak. Put the pressure on ole Jerry.
