My wife passed away unexpectedly on Thursday. She was my life, my caregiver, and my soulmate. She nursed me along and cared for me through my heart surgeries this past year.
I went in to wake her up and she was unresponsive. After calling 911 all I could do is lay next to her and cry like a baby. I know many others have been through the same thing and may can offer some support. This is unbelievably surreal and painful.

Thanks for being a shoulder to lean on.

It's been 9 years for me, ron, and it's still surreal at times. As husbands, we think it is a road we will not travel and the map is hard to read through the tears but my best suggestion is to travel it slowly. And with a guide if one is available.

I will offer one piece of advice that I wish I had taken. If there is grief counseling available, lean on that heavily if you find one you can connect with. I thought I was alone, no one could feel like I did, no one could understand how I was feeling but I was wrong. A guide could have helped me with the holes in that road. And there can be some deep ones.

God blessed your marriage with a true gift but all of His gifts must be returned. Took me a long time to be thankful for that gift for so many years and not everyone receives the gift.

We go back a long way brother.... I like to think of us as a brotherhood. We might not talk like we used to but when we do it's like we haven't skipped a beat. And because of that, we have always been there for one another when one of us was going through real-life things. This is one of those times where you can lean on me, and im sure anyone else to help you out during this time. If you need me you message me on here and Ill get you my number, my email or however you wanna do it. During this time man, don't ever forget we are here for you.

Brother Ron, we go way back to the old forums. I am so sorry to hear of your loss, but thank you for reaching out to us. I still can get on people's nerves at times, but it's because I truly feel at home and comfortable with everyone, especially with all of our clan from the old forums. Love you all like brothers and sisters. We're family, and I will always be here for you and everyone. Have you in my heart and prayers brother. ♡

From heart troubles to a different heart trouble. I am so sorry for your loss. I think it's even worse when it's unexpected and there's no warning. If you live in the DFW area and there's anything you need, PM me. PM me if you just want someone to talk to as well

I don't know your religious beliefs, but my heartfelt prayers will include you in them.... Hang in there, brother.

Ron, if all you want is to read well wishes, that's okay. But if you want to actually talk to us, don't be afraid to do that. Maybe you have some pm's going, which would be good, but if not, as Xelda said, we're still here.

Did you know that this day in history something happened? I don't know what it was either, but I'm sure it was impressive back then. Maybe Roger Rubble handed Tony Fllintstone a rock and he ran all the way home with it. Just trying to guess. My history teacher in high school had the good sense to let us use his class as study hall. He'd only threaten to teach history if we acted up. Mr. Scott holds a special place in my favorite teachers Ring of Honor. He would have made it on the first ballot, if he'd given me an "A". If something significant happened today, I don't want to know. My brother loves history and figures it's his job to "educate" me. (translation: Bore the sister until she's a drooling idiot.)

Thinking about and praying for you, Ron.
