You ever notice that anytime the media manufacture a proposed trade that no one else is even discussing they automatically give Jerry Jones the short end of the stick?

COWBOYS GET
S JAMAL ADAMS
The team that is most desperate to land superstar safety Jamal Adams is the Dallas Cowboys. Big D believes they’re in the midst of a championship window and Jerry Jones is willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen.

The team flirted with a potential Jamal Adams trade near the NFL Trade Deadline, but they weren’t willing to pay the piper. Recently there have been some reports that suggest the Cowboys will be making another aggressive push to try and land Adams.

If they’re serious this time around, then let’s get serious.

At a bare minimum, the 17th overall pick has to be included in any deal and in addition to that the team will either require a few more Day 2 picks (round two or three). Instead of slogging through more potential trades involving unknown draft picks, the Jets can land a premier left tackle in Tyron Smith

Pass our 1st, 3rd and Tyron someone is using too much crack. They might get 17 this year and a 3rd rounder in 2021 at best

I wouldn’t trade Jamal Adams for Tyron Smith straight up let alone trading all those picks. F outta here......
Agreed. Tyron is the most under-rated player on this entire forum.

He literally had his 40 million dollar QB shatter his ankle last year and he still finished as the 3rd best LT in the entire NFC

I can't tell you how many people i've heard call him overrated which should be a bannable offense considering he's the only LT in our division that's NOT over-rated. Just in our division alone you have Nate Solder whose one of the most overpaid players in all of professional sports, Trent Williams who literally refused to play (claimed malpractice yet after he found out about the unproper diagnostics he still wanted a contract extension ) and Jason Peters whose 1. prime was 10 years ago and 2. is careers probably over.

Build a dominant front 7, and draft a safety in the 1st 3 rounds. Defense = set

Is this a joke? Do the Jets pay his salary for the next 6-8 years while he plays for us & take the cap hit? This is so dumb.

Our first and Third, AND Tyron Smith? Then we turn around and pay Adam’s too much money? No freakin’ way!

Just MORE SPECULATION! Not even good sound speculation. Clinton-Dix is supposed to be the answer for the loss of Heath. The defense still has needs. This speculation is using either the Cowboys #1 pick plus other (meaning multiple) picks or using that #1 pick plus the Cowboys starting left tackle leaving another hole to fill without their #1 pick to fill it. It never ceases to amaze me how these insiders think their scouting and GM abilities are so infallible and a wonder why teams do hire them or at least call them for guidance on running their teams.

So, a first, third, and an all-pro left tackle.

Good gosh, why do people want to give up the farm for Adams? No way you give up a first or an All Pro LT for SAFETY with so little time on his contract.

The same people that whine about paying out huge contracts by saying they can draft a RB or DE or QB every 4 years to save money. But yet they would do this for Adams who will be seeking one of those huge contracts next season.

Adams is not worth any thing more than a 4th rounder. I posted a link to his stats in another thread, he has 2 INT's in 3 years. And these same people said do not keep Jones because he does not get picks.

Completely agree. The guy is a machine and likely Hall of Fame offensive lineman.

This is something Jerry would have done in the late 90's

Need I say more.

A team can only have so many cornerstone players and Adams would be a great addition but the Cowboys just cant afford to add another big contract. But If this were to go down I would say the jets get this years 1st and Tyron Smith.
The Cowboys would be better off continue building with the draft.

Smith is pretty much done. The dude has bad back and is a shell of who he was. He is good for the first 6 games of the season and then its all down hill. I dont really get why the Jets would want him anyways.
