Haven’t had a losing season since drafting him and he would’ve had 3 rushing titles in 4 years if he wasn’t “goodelled” his sophomore season. If you’re trolling, you’re picking on the wrong guy because still to this day defenses game plan 1st an foremost to stop Zeke.

What team was saved by a running back pick in the last 1-2 decades? This isn't a Zeke bash, I mean anybody, no matter how good they were.

Teams have backs run 2,000 yards and go 8-8. The Vikings didn't get a ring because of AP. Chris Johnson was a 2,000 yard back and it never mattered.

I think they still should have given Romo his job back in the playoffs that year. Just because no rookie has ever won a Superbowl. So our best chance of winning it all was with Romo. But Zeke was a great pick, way better than that loud mouth CB some wanted.

That would be horrible logic. Even if you arrived at the correct decision, having this factor in on any level should result in losing the locker room.

From day 1 he has carried us....GREAT PICK JERRY!

I mean, the Cowboys have accomplished nothing by all accounts here, so what has Zeke carried he team TO? A 1-2 playoff record that everyone here agrees is trash? 47 yards against the Rams?

Elite backs are luxury goods with a short shelf life.

Pappy is not a troll. He just have some controversial opinions that goes doesn’t follow the typical views found on this board.
Who are you kidding, he's the poster child for a Troll.

Ironic you bring this up, I never replied in the “worst day as a Cowboys fan” but the day we drafted the Ewok was my 2nd worst day as a fan.

Pretty pathetic that what you claim turned it all around got what for us? a playoff win or two? a huge headache? a distraction? a waste of salary cap?

You’re also about two years off, 2014 was when the true turn around started. Without this O line, zeke is nothing. I wish we could unload him on the Jets, I would love to see what kind of excuses his supporters make for him when he would be rushing behind the 31st ranked run blocking line and was only able to put up pedestrian numbers just like what happened to Bell.

Zeke was a good pick but his selection certainly didn’t turn it around for us around. The Cowboys are in the same up and down funk they’ve been in for the past 2+ decades. We haven’t gotten any further with Zeke than with any of the other backs we’ve had.

derrick henry could have performed just as well behind this line. Zeke wasnt a horrible pick but far from some sort of savior and frankly Im not certain hes been worth the drama

In hindsight, the euphoria of watching a rookie quarterback having a historic first season was too enormous to offset. Of course, some observers mentioned repeatedly the odds of a rookie quarterback helping the team reach and possibly win the Super Bowl that season--during that regular season. So, the term 'hindsight' is not all-inclusive.

Jerry Jones and Jason Garrett placed their bet. A rookie quarterback would lead his team to a Super Bowl appearance and hoped for victory. The other bet, OMG!-ANOTHER INT-oh-no-Romo!-now-he's-paralyzed-for-real-typical-Poor Candice!, was trashed. What did the gamble prove in the end?

Answer: Jerry Jones had moved on to a new franchise quarterback. The result is the reason why I have zero problem with the few individuals EVERYWHERE who have said they did not believe a rookie quarterback would lead Dallas to a Super Bowl. They simply wanted Romo replaced permanently.

That's honesty minus the euphoria.

I'm not his biggest fan, but if someone pointed out that when he hasn't been either suspended or out of shape because of a holdout, the team has had a good amount of success, itd be tough to argue.

The usual choke job in the playoffs aside that is.

If Pappy is a troll then all those Romo bashers over the last 10 year get put in that category as well.

Up to this point, I just had them in the stupid category!

PURE speculation. But that's what Hate does to a person, it clouds their minds and inhibits the ability to think clearly. You think you're being rational here, but FAR FAR from it.

Instead of cheering him on....You want him to fail? So your lunatic assessment can be proven right? Unbelievable.
