if it was you, would you volunteer to cut your pay in half?
Only if Jerry strongly suggested it first! I used the word 'volunteer' with tongue in cheek.

If so how would our DLine look

Great write up X!
Do you see him as a 1 or 3 this year?
Its up to him. He has to come in to camp dialed in. Thats his big problem. Physically he is more talented than Gallimore
I don't think it is all attitude. All on hill and his attitude. Would love if he did turn it all around. wouldn't have to spend any more premium picks on DT if he and Gallimore both reach potential. long term duo in the middle
I do agree that he is not what he was sold to be. Sure he has a quick step but i dont think hes a pass rusher. They need to allow him to put weight back on move back to 1tech/nose. His best games where when he was eating blocks at 320+ pounds as a nose tackle. should have been a 4th or 5th round pick.I don't think it is all attitude.
I honestly don't think he is all that talented. Even his best plays in college are not all that impressive.
How is that best business decision?Yes, I’d make the best business decision which IMO is taking a pay cut to stay at the Cowboys.
His biggest problem was strength. He’s got to be able to stay on his feet. He does have that really quick first step.
This should be a big offseason for him. If he’s worked hard, he needs to first make the active roster. My guess is we look at trading him to Las Vegas at cutdowns for an equivalent bag of beans from their roster like we did a few years back.
The league and the Cowboys are littered with players who didn't set the world on fire their rookie year and still had a very good career. I don't understand why it's a long shot considering he was a very late 2nd round pick, came in raw and we knew he needed work. Now we have learned the coaches did about everything they could to mess this kid up.The best we can hope for with Hill is that he can become at least serviceable and be part of our rotation but even that looks like a long shot after such a disappointing rookie year.
Hill would be best utilized as a 3tech but he has the physical ability to play 1tech. They just need to put him at one spot and leave him there for 2020.
