At some point just stop responding to crybabies complaining about a great player being compensated for their work.

Good pre-season games battle. I think Dalton has secured the #2 spot though. Good QB insurance.

Ya if Dalton cannot beat out Rush and a rookie late round pick, then he was really being carried by those Bengal WRs more than I thought.

Great move by Jerry and Stephen , this was timely . Dak will now have to either sign a team friendly or move on . The Dak slobberers are not happy of course , but Dak put himself in this situation .He mis-timed his demands and overrated himself . He choked against good defenses and quality teams and went 1-6 against winning teams last year. A 35 million$ a year offer was more than generous , and he turned it down. Showing no leadership or sense. The Cowboys have called his bluff.

Dak has some good leverage. If he doesn't get a new contract and thus plays on the tag, that's a 31mill hit on the cap this year. They don't have that much I don't think and will have to cut a player or 2 and restructure some others.

Of course he has leverage. He’s the starting QB. Productive. Young. Plays the most important position.

This is strictly about improving the backup position.

I dont get it. Anyone that genuinely believes in Dak shouldn't be tripping. If anything this move helps Dak be better.

I'm not sure it makes Dak better, but it makes our team better to have a former starter who has had some good seasons as our backup option if Dak is hurt.

How about the 23-0 Colts shut-out?
Injured again bud????
From 2 years ago? I remember that game, Dallas couldn't stop the run. Dak was sacked 3 times (Zack Martin) didn't play. The Colts ran all over us. Dak didn't have a great game, but he didn't play that bad. But even given that he had a bad game, all QB's have bad games occasionally. All of them. Cowboys had 9 penalties also. Just a bad game by everyone.

no way in hell we don't get 10 wins with either QB. Great QB depth and please M&M have open evaluations for the QB1 position. I haven't lost hope you'll be fair, this is another step in the right direction.

-No ridiculous Dak contract
-Great QB Depth
-Possible QB1 competition

Why would anyone be opposed to this? Why can't we try to improve all positions, why is QB1 so protected?
