That’s your opinion.

I’d argue that isn’t the Cowboys intention.
That's your opinion. And you have no argument other than it's your opinion.

Edit: note I never made any specific claim other than ":heat". Blues is trying to infer something I never said.

I understand . But first of all I think they’re further apart than that. I think it’s closer to 10 million a year . And secondly you do have to draw the line at some point.

Let me ask you this. Does Dak deserve to be the highest paid QB? The reason I ask is we have to manage the Cap. What if we begun paying everyone the top salary at their position if they weren’t the best in the league? We certainly wouldn’t be able to keep those we wanted to.

Unless your argument is Dak is the best QB in the league right now? And should be paid accordingly,
Yes he deserves to be the highest paid after he was the worst paid in the league.

Lol

You really believe Jerry, Stephen and Mike have signed Dalton to replace Dak?

Has there been any indication that this one year deal for Dalton was anything more than to shore up our backup position and to provide some insurance if Dak went down or holds out?

Here's a report and there’s many others which describe what the Cowboys intentions are. If you have any links which support your opinion I’d like to see them .

That’s the weakest argument I’ve heard but you’re certainly entitled to your opinion.

I’m certainly glad you’re not negotiating on the Cowboys behalf.

Just have to call it like I see it. Let’s be honest with what’s going on here. They have no problem giving him what he wants money wise the issue is they either want the years so they can take advantage did their 5 or 6 year window or they use his deal to restructure. They are fine with paying him the highest in the league.

Where did I say Cowboys signed Andy to replace Dak?

I didn;t...but there you are arguing it and claiming yourself the winner.

Just turning up heat.....means nothing. It could be for contract purposes....or just provide a little competition....that they think Dak can easily overcome.

It';s crap like this crap that makes talking on internet not not fun. You make up stuff in your head I never said.

I’m trying to interpret your intentions here.

You say “ turn up the heat”. Sounds like you mean competition for starting role? Which isn’t what the reports are saying and definitely probably not the Cowboys intention.

That’s fine. Not many I’ve heard argue Dak should be highest paid QB in the league . And the main reason cause he was underpaid on his Rookie contract which of course any 4th round pick would be.

I do not consider myself a "usual suspect" because I don't want Dak gone. I want the best player playing.

But.... do you have proof Dak is better? Here's where you'll cherry pick a certain stat to prove your point, right? But...what else in your head...makes Dak a clear cut better QB....all things being as equal as wen can get them.

I am asking sincerely and with all due respect. Not trying to trap you just want your opinion.
Ummm. No stats at all. Just watched football the last 4 years and dalton has been trash.

Could have sworn when it comes to Dak QBs don’t win games. But now it seems to have changed . Go figure
I know.
The ARGUMENT will always be amorphous and changing to fit anyone's whatever.

I laugh at the meaninglessness of it all.
Let everyone pull all of their hair out!

What Jerry and Stephen do with the money coming from the contracts isn't being revealed and neither is the money that players receive get revealed. How it's spent once they're paid isn't the public's business. Whether it's being used in future acquisitions or something else is entirely a non specified subject. Rather, it's what some might consider as negative suspicious speculation without concrete proof. There are players who take advantage of their owners just as surely as there are owners who would do the same to their players. Fair play is the individual's obligation. That's what bargaining in good faith is based upon. Without that, contracts have no chance of being agreed to.
The Cowboys are worth 5 billion.

Ah...the "dropping balls" thing. I get it. But I'll have to go on record as saying "dropped balls" is a very dubious stat. You can burn me at the stake for it...that;s fine.

What makes a "dropped ball". The receiver had a finger tip on it? Two hands? Leapt in the air? "in the radius"? Reached behind at full speed?

This is a stat that puts the onus on the receiver. There's a description on a QB pass called "touch". And it means the QB makes it a more catchable ball. Where's the stat for that?

Here's Andy's "highlights " for 2019. Yep...I get it...everyone has highlights. Yep...these receivers made incredible effort on yards after catch...making awesome catches TOO! But....I note some very tight throws that I do not see Dak make. It doesn't mean Dak can;t throw or doesn't have highlights.

What I think is I am excited for the best of these two to start for us!

They literally have a stat called a catchable pass. go do some homework. A drop is a catchable ball that is dropped. You are just trolling at this point.

Why did we sit a good veteran QB for a playoff super bowl run? Because he was a GREAT QB? Or superstition? "Oh look we're on a winning streak you can;t bring bad luck and sit him now".

That is what happened. And you sit there and ask why people make insane decisions? Come on.

Huh??? Where has this taken off too? I like Red Pistol as a backup and insurance (don't know how many times I have to write it), I'm responding to the overwhelming love for the Pistol to lead us as the REPLACEMENT for Dak, so suddenly. Pump your brakes.

Here's the deal...If Dak sits out or doesn't show up for the season, Andy will be the guy and Dak may not get the job back like Romo. Dak is not Brady or Brees.

Yep. That’s the risk Dak could take and part of why we signed Dalton to provide some insurance.
