  • Gerald McCoy, defensive tackle
  • Dontari Poe, defensive tackle.
  • CeeDee Lamb, WR
  • Trevon Diggs, CB

These players make us better than what we lost ...... Fredbeard is the only exception but he was not gonna be the same player anymore anyway

nope but the coaching staff is way better so that should be atleast worth a few wins.We played not to lose under Garrett on both sides of the ball,if we can be more aggressive and emphasis Turnovers on Defense then we should be ok for atleast winning the division.

I think I know the answer here.

Losing T. Frederick, B. Jones, R. Quinn and many others makes it difficult to say definitively it is a "yes", but I think a lot of people will say "yes"
can we get to some actual games before we start posts like this, I mean 3 games in would be good start and knowing if Gregory and Smith are on the field etc..way early for posts like this

I like our chances to improve 2 games just over new coaching staff and starting the year with better STs..

Too early to tell. I like the coaching change but not necessarily the HC's hires.

On paper, and that's the only place it matters right now, they had a very good draft and got what appears to be a prize in the 1st and addressed some needs early on.

It doesn't appear they covered the losses in FA with acquisitions as we don't know how much a couple of those players have left in the tank and my first question about any FA, and coach for that matter, is why is he available?

They finished at 8-8 and I am predicting 9-7 for this season so I'd say they've marginally improved. But I look first at the competition and do not see where the teams ahead of them last year have fallen behind them this year.

You got to play the games to know for sure. Thus far I like what I am seeing but until they hit the field and put it in action there is no way of knowing for sure.

This is where I'm at.

We had better starters last season at 8-8. It appears we improved our coaching staff, how many wins is that worth? We had an unsustainably awful record in close games, how many close games do we win in 2020? We have the 5th easiest record according to Ceasars, what's that worth? Overall we were a relatively healthy team last season, that should close towards the average which is a negative.

9-7 or 10-6 feels right.

Personnel-wise not immediately. I think by seasons end we could be. But with coaching? We had 8 wins last year. I don't think with the players we lost that should effect our win total. But I see at least 3 more wins with a new coach.

Yes. This team is a coach away from at least a NFC Championship Game appearance.
To me, there's simply no reason this talent-rich roster with an offensive genius at coach should not win the division, make the playoffs and advance to the NFC Championship.
For the past five or six seasons, I've thought we were undercoached and underachieving. I think you're going to see a difference in our defense, particularly in sacks and interceptions. I think you're going to see our offense be even more prolific than it was last year.
NFC East Champions. No excuses.
