Mariota is on this list at #20. Lol
Winston is #31.

Meanwhile Troy is at #61 and Roger at #48.
Is it possible this list is flawed?
It’s flawed when comparing Troy Aikman to Romo. Yes. My point is you look at the top of that list it’s no bums there.

Not in the top 3 spots but you don’t have to go too far down beginning at #4 with Romo to begin seeing the flaws .

Comparing raw numbers across eras is asinine because the rules of the game have changed so much to favor passing.

Staubach's passer rating is # 3 ALL TIME when you adjust for era. Better than Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees and Tom Brady. He was an absolute monster of a player for his time to the point where even Cowboys fans underestimate it. He made 1st Team All-1970s and NFL 100 All-Time Team for a reason, the guy was just unreal in his era.

He's #1 with a bullet.

You would be hard-pressed to find someone in the history of the world that knows more about football, and specifically the Dallas Cowboys, than Pro Football hall of Famer Gil Brandt. When Mr. Brandt speaks, people listen. He remains one of the most influential voices in the NFL community and has one of the greatest scouting eyes that the game has ever seen.

    • Roger Staubach
    • Troy Aikman
    • Danny White
    • Tony Romo
Mr. Brandt has both Prescott and Romo in his top five, but the former at third and the latter at fifth.

Spots one and two are taken by Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman, respectively, and Danny White even makes an appearance at number four. It truly is fascinating that Prescott would not only outrank Romo just four seasons in, but Danny White, too. It says a lot about how impressive Dak Prescott’s career has been to this point in time.

Let the fun begin...

I respectfully disagree with Gil. It's really hard to rank Dak at this point because he's only been a starter for four years. He may eventually move up the list, but he doesn't deserve more than the fourth spot right now, behind Staubach, Aikman and Romo. And I'd give Dandy Don the fifth spot over White.

White threw 16 interceptions in the playoffs compared to 15 TDs. Sure, it was a different era, but you couldn't afford to have your QB do that even back then.

Nope the list should be:
Quincy Carter
Chad " What are your expectations of me" Hutchinson
Drew Henson
Ryan Leaf
Babe Lafuenberg or Steve Peuller

I get this thinking but Romo didn't do anything in his career so that's why I have no problem with Dak being in front of him. Now Roger and Aikman? That's a different league to where he needs more playoff success to get in with them.
I totally have respect for Romo . But I also understand he was a season wonder and disappeared when it mattered most. So I totally agree with you

I fixed it for everyone. Close the thread.

  1. Roger Staubach
  2. Troy Aikman
  3. Danny White
  4. Tony Romo
  5. Don Meredith
  6. Dak Prescott
You know more about QB personnel ranking that the Hall of Fame former Cowboys VP of Player Personnel Gil Brandt?

NOT! However, I do think Romo should be bumped off no.5 to no. 7 behind Meredith at no.5 and Craig Morton at no.6 both have been to either more NFL title, NFC Conference, Playoffs and Super Bowls than Romo.

Its disgraceful that the romosexuals will disrespect Gil Brandt. Especially since he still hosts a radio show on sirius' NFL channel.
Mad dog sports one of my favorites radio shows. I’ll have to listen for Gil Brandt

He does the late night show. They take calls and it's crazy how much information he still knows. Someone will ask about a guy that played 30 years ago and Gil will know what college he went to, what round he was drafted him, and what team he played for. A lot of guys he will actually remembers their 40 times or verts or something crazy.

That was the best thing about Gill. What his college knowledge contacts. Jerry had that initially with Jimmy. That’s what’s been missing in our draft room. Hello I’m having a senior moment because I like the guy who’s doing it now for us

Right. And I really wouldn't even have a issue with him being higher......I just get why he's where he's at. Its not like putting Dak in front of Aikman and Roger. They actually accomplished things Dak hasn't. The only thing Romo has on Dak is he's played longer.
