Still can't believe we got him at 17.

Have a feeling he is going to be better than Dez ever was and if Cooper stays healthy and productive over the next 4 years, Lamb is going to have some huge seasons...even with Prescott throwing to him!
You had to ruin it with the last comment. Just a word of wisdom from an ole man, you Dak haters look so ridiculous.

I like Dak.

Just at 33 million per year.

Anything over that and that cap hit will hurt the team in keeping and acquiring talent.

Don't be so sensitive, re-read thread and no one crapped on Dez.
No one is sensitive champ

Why even bring up Dez to big up CD?

“I have a feeling Dinucci will be way better than Dak ever was!”

Now tell me that wouldnt have fools up in arms on here....

the largest computer at cern could not have computed the odds of lamb still being available when we picked.

I thought he was even a possibility at 9 to the Jags, but I knew there was no way in the world he was making it past the Jets at 11, Raiders at 12, 9ers at 14 or Broncos at 15. Then, I am sure like 90% of the fans, I thought, he is going to be sitting there and Dallas is going to pass on him and regret it for 30 years like Moss... We are going to pass on the next Hopkins to take the next Peppi Zellner! Glad they proved me wrong!

Super stoked about him. I’ve stopped openly wishing for players since Aaron Donald (with the exception of stupidly hoping for a Derwin James tradeup) because it never pans out and the boys just do their own thing.

HOWEVER. I was crazy running around the house screaming for Lamb from when the Broncos took Jeudy on. And when they were on the clock I celebrated before the pick was even announced, because I just knew it.
Man you're giving jerry a lot of credit. I was so nervous because I knew lamb should be the pick but i was praying that jerry wouldn't screw it up

The Jerry deserves credit, he did not screw it up he took Lamb. Not sure how Jerry and the organization should not be credited for this pick? Frankly the pick after this one as well in Diggs

They didn't "DO" anything. They got lucky the players aligned with value and need dropped into their laps. They didn't maneuver or make any trades. granted they turned the cards in but most ppl could have made those picks.

Wishfully thinking Lamb and Cooper turn out to be better than what we hoped for Dez and Miles Austin.
Strange comment. For starters never say "we". Dez & Austin were phenomenal players. Unfortunately, after Austin had that outstanding year, Jerry decided to pay him the big bucks and Austin was never the same thereafter.

Dez' age caught up to him. Wishfully thinking?!o_O Coops already proven he's elite. Hopefully he has that plantar fascia under control. Comparing Lamb to Austin is pitiful. No players are ever the same.

this pick came to the cowboys compliments of will mcclay and stephen. jerry was just the messenger.

Jerry is just the messenger? unless the player fails then it tends to be Jerry pick. They are all Jerry pick but like any organization picks are never a 1 man job there are so many people involved with a teams draft.

I do give them credit at least for not overthinking the obvious. Could’ve been Moss all over again, especially if he wound up an eagle. Ugh

They did not do anything? seems to me a lot of teams choose not to select him and Dallas did despite the fact it was not a big need for the team, they made the selection and deserve credit for doing so. You say most people could make that pick? 16 others didn't

He’s just saying he hopes the pairing works out to their potential. We all know what happened with miles and dez, but there was some optimism they could be an elite duo moving forward together. Hoping these guys do

jerry has not been the man responsible for picks for several years now. when he was taking shante carver, he was to blame. i agree there are multiple sources of info regarding picks. i could have picked lamb given the circumstances that fell into the cowboys laps that happy day in april. it was spring turkey season. earlier i called in and shot a gobbler with 3 beards. that paled in comparison with the good fortune that brought lamb to us.

I mean the really questionable picks were ruggs to the raiders and 49ers taking kinlaw. Tampa wasn't taking a wr neither were the falcons. But like I said we got lucky theres no need to get salty about it.

Its sad that fans still crap on Dez. “Better than Dez ever was”?

That comment was intended to show Lamb's huge potential and just how capable he really is as a receiver.

I was always a huge fan of Dez, and he had a few monster seasons in 2012, 2013 and 2014.

That's what I believe Lamb can do, if not more. It'll be tough with Cooper out there catching passes also.

Yes I hope they don't get hurt and we can see them together, unlike Dez and Miles Austin. and if I were to compare those duos, Austin's skillset compares to Coopers, and Lamb's compares to Dez's. They are still different players. We, fans, did hope to see that duo flourish together, didn't happen.
