Not all disagreements are hate, a concept currently lost in today's world.
I like Dak. I have seen him progress as a QB each year. He HAS gotten better. But he is NOT one of the top QBs in the NFL. Sadly, the team gave him the Exclusive franchise tag. That was a mistake, in my opinion. The non-exclusive tag was about 24 million, the exclusive tag is about 33 million. So we are kind of stuck now. If we sign him long term, we are now talking in the 35 million a year zone. I don't think that he is worth that. If I were the GM, besides suddenly being considerably more wealthy, I would have used the NON-exclusive tag, let him shop around and see what he was worth on the open market. If he got no offers, then I can go to 30 million per year, which I think is slightly more than his worth. If he got an offer that I wanted to match, I could do that. If he got a stupidly large offer, I get 2 first round picks. As it is, I get either Dak @ 33 or nothing. Dumb.
