Ok..

So this is a Cee Dee thread.

Not a Dak thread.

But..for those of us wanting Cee Dee to now lead our team to.

A SB

replace Amari as our #1 WR

make McCormick look like Vince Lombari

we have to realize that would mean Dak will be getting a big bump in his contract demands for 2021.

It will realistically be $50mil/yr.

I want us to win but is there any foreseeable end to any of this?

Ain't my money, but as a ticket holder, there can be little doubt that with the losses the NFL is taking..

our ticket prices are going to skyrocket.

Do not know how many here have season tickets but parking and concessions will go up, etc.

As it sits right now, we broker our tickets and only go to Thanksgiving and the playoffs if there are any.

Even cable subscribers will see their cable bill's increase at some point to make up losses.

Can Cee Dee make up for all this?

Seems far fetched but I hope he can. Him and Dak should soak ol' Jerrah shortly.

Comments?

This is a thread wondering if prices will be going up?
No..but you can start it.

Most ticket holders probably do not have time to stop here.

I think what I was saying is that one should see all the issues

Cee Dee helping Dak get to $50 mil./yr has a cost..

amongst other things.

This year, I'd say Dak will be afforded the benefit of having an exceptional WR at his disposal in CeeDee to throw to. This fella's ability to gain absurd numbers of YACs is certain to help any QB fortunate enough to have him as a target. If that's not enough to do the trick, there are plenty of other capable receivers to get the job done. I'm anticipating that the new and improved Dallas defense will do it's fair share to help, as well.

On another front, it's fair to say that the revenue lost by way of the limited crowds attending games will have to be made up somehow. Jerry most likely wouldn't have it any other way. Would he be willing to take the kind of losses that half attendances would impose? Well, probably not. How he chooses to rectify that could largely be provided for by the fans. Brace yourselves, season ticket holders and concession patrons! Souvenirs, anyone? ;)

Just wanted to say you're one of my favorite posters on here. You always give a well thought answer. Even when I disagree on your point, it's worded in a way where I can see why you would think that way.

Well done and keep up the good work!

Excuse me but isn't there a salary cap - about $200 mil this year - so what difference does it make if Dak gets 20 mil or 40 mil, as far as prices going up.

:muttley:Not by the looks of things …. hang in there, buddy!

Come to think of it, it was supposed to be about CeeDee!
I think I'm still traumatized from the old boards and the Romo section - I was a Mod over there and DREADED having to read the same arguments over and over again.

Its the main reason I dont usually even open up a Dak thread.

I guess it makes no difference if that money is best spent on Dak.

But is it?

I think we wait and see.

We are committed for this year with the Tag. If the Tag goes up as you say, how much?

With the illness concerns the Cap may not increase if they are losing money as a league.

If the Cowboys win then Dak will likely increase his price for next year.

One can not assume they cancel each other out.

In fact, it could make Dallas lower their offer to Dak.

Dak would say 'never' but many things have happened none of us ever expected 3 months ago.

CD isn't replacing anyone in his rookie year. Heck I doubt he even duplicated the numbers Cobb put up, maybe in TD's. Not saying CD sucks only that we have a lot of good weapons/ options for some other really good proven skilled players to get the ball. We know most rookie receivers kinda hit a wall and we won't know how CD deals with this untill he does. We are in a great position to being able to use but not rely on a talented rookie.

Yesss, I can see where you've been involved with legal eagle dealings in the past. Methinks you're just showing off.

Apple cart -- nope, there's no apple cart hereabouts. I'm just a harmless old codger with horns sprouting from head.

That dagger to which you refer was merely a rubber one, at worst. Subtlety, what's that? Sounds like a girl's name! :D

He was 16th in pass attempts in "garbage time". So he didn't get a bulk of his stats in garbage time.

Our offense had the 3rd worst starting field position in the league. Given to us by our lovely defense and special teams.

The offense was 2nd in yards per drive.
4th in points per drive
5th in the amount of plays per drive
3rd in drive success rate which kills your 3 and out theory
DSR represents Drive Success Rate, as introduced in Pro Football Prospectus 2005, which measures the percentage of down series that result in a first down or touchdown. Take-a-knee drives at the end of a half are discarded.

These are all facts and can be found https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/nfl/overall-drive-stats/2019

Everything you stated was a fallacy and is based emotion. You probably won't respond to this but maybe someone will read this and the info will actually sink in.
