Recently i watched a few UFO documentaries on Netflix/Amazon/Youtube. Most of the stuff i would consider tinfoil but worth the laugh anyway. I remembered this guy's face (Bob Lazar) from watching videos years ago but never really listened to his story until now.

So for anyone who knows about this guys story, what do you think? He's lying?

Watched several interviews with him and used to love listening to him when he was on the Art Bell show. I think it is fascinating listening to him and he seems to be quite intelligent about spacecraft and the technology propelled them. Still haven't made my mind up whether I believe him totally.

What i find interesting is this.

If he was telling the 100% truth, i would think that the Gov would've made him disappear by one means or another. If he was lying about the whole thing, then i think the Gov would've done absolultey nothing. Instead what did happen is the Gov raided his home taking the middle ground. Why would they have done that? Is he telling some truth and some lies and that's why the Gov went that route?

Well, wasn't he spying on Area 51 (by visiting its borders) which no matter what they are doing there is illegal because it's a top secret base? I mean, several stealth and spy planes where developed there. The U-2, A-12 & SR-71, F-117 Stealth Fighter, YF-118G, and they even used it to study recovered foreign war planes.

That by itself is enough to throw him in prison. Not to mention discussing any type of work (truth or not) about working at a place like this would also throw him in prison.

Dude is likely just a crackpot.

Did he go to prison or just a FBI raid followed by no charges?

Doesn't appear so. The government was probably just trying to stop him from drawing so much attention to Area 51 or other top secret government installations.

Criminal convictions
In 1990, Lazar was arrested for aiding and abetting a prostitution ring. This was reduced to felony pandering, to which he pleaded guilty.[22][23][24] He was ordered to do 150 hours of community service, stay away from brothels, and undergo psychotherapy.[23][24]

In 2006, Lazar and his wife Joy White were charged with violating the Federal Hazardous Substances Act for shipping restricted chemicals across state lines. The charges stemmed from a 2003 raid on United Nuclear's business offices, where chemical sales records were examined.[4] United Nuclear pleaded guilty to three criminal counts of introducing into interstate commerce, and aiding and abetting the introduction into interstate commerce, banned hazardous substances. In 2007, United Nuclear was fined $7,500 for violating a law prohibiting the sale of chemicals and components used to make illegal fireworks.[25][26]​

i've always thought he was telling the truth.
its not like he's gained alot from telling his stories....most dismiss him as a liar or a ufo nut.
even in the ufo field there are some who trash this guy.
he's a little weird but i think he's telling the truth.

im not an expert but to my knowledge...nothing he's said has been disproven.
the more researchers dig into his past...they find out he did work in the areas he said he did and had the clearances as well.
he's been telling the same stuff since the 90's.
it wouldnt stand the test of time if none of it were true.

too visible.
you off this guy in some way...he becomes a very public martyr for the cause they say doesnt exist.
he is a lil excentric.....so that puts some folks off...which does their work for them.

All of this is so very interesting. When I get home tonight and have some free time will watch more of the stuff about him online.
I do have a couple of points to make though...

He claims to have attended MIT and Caltech but there are no records of him doing so, I believe he claims the records of him attending were wiped by the Government which is highly unlikely if not impossible.
However...
When you listen to the man speak he comes off as highly credible. His knows a lot of information that he would not have known unless he was actually there, experiencing it firsthand. Check this out http://www.openminds.tv/physicist-claims-bob-lazar-did-work-at-los-alamos/34156
