Dak was going to sign, really no alternative, no one in their right mind will turn down 31 mill for a season. Dak was not going to hold out the entire season, it would not benefit him in any way. Meantime Cowboys insist they are still looking to get him under a long term deal. Just because Dak has signed the tag does not mean these contract talks are over with it just ensures he will be playing this season in Dallas.

Lets stop these contract threads until such time (if ever) there are genuine negotiations on extending him.

Dude is betting on himself. That I do like. If he succeeds this year I won’t like his cap hit tho lol

I won't like his cap hit next year no matter what. It'll go up unless the covid changes things. Sign him before the 15th

Dak has already said he isn’t taking a hometown discount and even if he’s the highest paid player, that is a temporary situation that changes the very next year.

I don’t know why people keep saying Dak isn’t about the money.

Dallas has been trying to make the case that what he is looking for compromises the rest of the talent on the team for over a year now.

Some here sound like this is it.

All both sides did was lock in a FLOOR for this year.
They'll still try to hash out a deal < July 15th.

In the interim, these things changed from last week:
--Dak is fully guaranteed a min of 31mil
--Dak cannot hold out
--Dak can now be traded

win-win for both sides

I blame Jerry for this,He should have made Dak an offer he could not refuse early last season, now its just out of control and the only way its ending if they acquiesce the 4 year deal.

Well, it also allows Dak to get a playbook now.
